Aroma was lots of citrus hops, but also a noticeable amount of bready malt. Somewhat resinous, grapefruit flavor with some caramel malt as well. Good, but it was a bit toned down for an IIPA. Lightly citrusy, hoppy nose. Medium body with a distinct malt sweetness and some dry, lightly citrusy aroma hops in the finish. This lacks some balls to be a truly great Double IPA. 301107 faroeviking (6023), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 2, 2007 Bottle. Pours a nice deep amber colour. Sweet, hoppy, woody herby and fruity aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet and woody with softly roasted malt, dark fruits, caramel and hops. The finish is sweet with a pleasant soft roasty maltiness, bit herby.
