MadIndian (987), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 21, 2007 Sampled at the Newtown Brewfest 07 with Stegosaurus. Hazy amberish pour. Good hop aroma with a splash of grass/pine. Taste had mild hop not really blended the way I like it but it was a decent beer. Very drinkable. acertain (249), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 20, 2007 Pours a deep hazy orange with a thin white head that never totally dissipates. Aroma is of piney hops and caramel. In the mouth, it starts with tea and pineapple, and then a rather hard astringency emerges. It finishes bitter. Saarlander (1577), Saarlouis, Germany Oct 15, 2007 A mellow brew, plenty of hop bite, but very mellow after it warms, some alcohol, but nothing bad with it, malt is there as well, a nice drinking brew, nothing bad about it, but somewhat subdued after it warms, decent. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 11, 2007 Bottle via john adam2002. Amber color.
Smell of light hops, flowers, caramel, ginger, pepper, citrus, candy rasins, pine and malt. Taste of hops, pine, grass, malt, orange peal, clove, pepper, ginger ale, alcohol, caramel and cotton candy. A minor harsh aftertaste. Very interesting double IPA. A lot of spice going on in this one. LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Oct 7, 2007 22oz bottle. Pours cloudy dark amber in color with light brown head. Aroma spice and floral hops. Taste of grapefruit and citrus hops and with bitter after taste. Alcohol is well hidden. MarkBarnes (264), Waterville, New York, USA Sep 25, 2007 Sept. 25, 2007; 22 oz. bomber; $5.29 @ Marcy (NY) Discount Beverage. Very smooth, balanced & drinkable, with a subtle flavor for a IIPA. I suppose this brew will earn some demerits from those who don’t think it’s intense enough. Liked the malt in this one. lampeno420 (321), Zeeland, Michigan, USA Sep 19, 2007 Decent IIPA. Not great, not bad since it is an IIPA. Good scent and taste full of hops and some pine. There could be more pine notes and grapefruit in the taste. Metalhead (570), Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA Sep 6, 2007 Orangy pour, "OK" head. Mild lacing. Nothing special here. Average quality IIPA. Hops and a little extra flavor. I don’t get all the raves. $5 a bomber. ABV well hidden. Ok,so they did something right.
