650 ml bottle from vintagecellars. Cloudy copper brown with a foamy white head. Aroma of caramel and sweet spice: clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon. A nice malty backbone with an earhty, peppery cinnamon and corriander taste with some fruity notes. Smooth silky palate and a mild bitterness. Excellent.

Pours orange-red with large white head, which lasted a long time. Very hoppy aroma, flavor started smooth finished very bitter.

22 oz bottle -- Poured a rusty orange-red with a gigantic airy, rocky, bubbly head of white soapy foam. The aroma is dirty and earthy with a peppery tingle to the olfactory glands. The stinky chewy factor carries to the palate, with this beer being overly perfumey and otherwise light in character. Quite light bodied for a DIPA. (#3073, 9/3/2007)

lots of drippy lace, also picking up sweet pine in the aroma, both the sweet malt and big hop flavor is much more subdued

slight diactyl in the flavor mixed with the caramel sweetness, long peppery bitter finish, the dyactyl eventually fades to leave the caramel sweetness and lots of hops behind

I tried this beer on August 30, 2007 at the ’Beer Bistro’ in Toronto. The price is not a mis-print, I really did pay $20.00 for a beer. The beer poured a muddy brown into the glass with a small tan head that lasted throughout. The aroma was very hoppy...VERY hoppy with some perfumy and floral scents. Almost bubble-bath like. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with some mild carbonation. The flavour was hoppy and very spicy with some lingering bitterness.

Bottle: Pours amber with an average foamy head. Good strong smell of hops. Heavy bitter flavor with a medium body. Good double IPA.

Deep amber pour, looks nice and thick, under a low head that settles a bit soapy. Pure grapefruit aroma. Nice. ABV well-hidden... almost TOO well. Hops are not overdone yet they are certainly sincere in their presence. Fully sessionable for a higher-alcohol beer. Dangerous. They had just put this one on halfway through our lunch, and boy was I happy.
