thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA May 22, 2007 Pour is a hazy copper with almost no head. Aroma is a very deep dark citrus hop with some earthyness and malt. Flavor is outstanding. This sucker is all about the hops. Very citrus, grapefruit with a piney after taste. Very clean and fresh. Super tasty and a good sipper. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA May 20, 2007 Updated: Jul 16, 2007Bitter hops blended with sweet malts. Some sweet citrus up front. Medium body/mouthfeel. Dry bitter finish. Alcohol on the nose, pretty well hidden in the mouth. Drinkable. Mildly acidic. Not a bad double IPA. Not as heavy as Dogfish Head 90 min IPA.
BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA May 19, 2007 Dark yellow pour with a bitter hop nose. Bitter hop body bot not very memorable. Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA May 17, 2007 WOW good stuff here guys 22 oz bomber ( did not like the price tag). nice aroma. deep brownish orange color cloudy. thick lacy head. strong pine and citrus grapefruit tones. leaves a fairly nice hop burn. would prefer a bit more hop bite and afterburn. but it party on the back en for some time. grab one if you can great DIPA JK (2946), Richfield, Minnesota, USA May 16, 2007 This is a tasty beer. Abundant flowery hops in the aroma. Gold color and moderate carbonation. Some sweetness in the flavor from malt, but tons of hops, herbal, citrus, and bitter flavors. It left a good hop burn. michael-pollack (2603), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA May 13, 2007 22oz. Bottle: Big bitter aroma. Very hoppy scent with notes of pine, evergreen, resin, citrus, tropical fruits, and grapefruit. Also a little caramel malt. Poured dark orange in color with a small tan head that mostly diminished. Excellent lacing. Clear but full of particles. Sparkling. Heavily bitter flavor. Tastes strongly of hops. Notes of pine, resin, grapefruit, and some tropical fruits. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish becomes sweet and malty over time; almost too malty a finish for such a nice bitter beer. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 12, 2007 Sampled at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits IPA Nite in St Paul, MN. Pours a hazy copper/amber brew with a thin off-white head. Aroma has grapefruit, black pepper, some tropical fruit and piney hops. Taste is moderately sweet, thick and almost raisin like character. Finish is dry hops and some pine aftertaste. A good quality IPA. TheShat (131), Lakewood, Ohio, USA May 11, 2007 Updated: May 14, 2007Draft beer. Light malt and hop aroma. Hazy amber/golden color with a creamy head. There is a slightly sweet flavor with moderate bitterness. The beer finishes bitter with a sour milk taste. A bit sour for my taste but not bad overall.
