Very hoppy scent with notes of pine, evergreen, resin, citrus, tropical fruits, and grapefruit. Also a little caramel malt. Poured dark orange in color with a small tan head that mostly diminished. Excellent lacing. Clear but full of particles. Sparkling. Heavily bitter flavor. Tastes strongly of hops. Notes of pine, resin, grapefruit, and some tropical fruits. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish becomes sweet and malty over time; almost too malty a finish for such a nice bitter beer. Skyview (4018), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

medium gold in color - small but rock head. huge aromas of grapefruit - you can almost smell the hops from arms length. flavor is al about the hops - starting of chewy and resiny with lots of tart citrus flavors, developing into a fresh green hop flavor and ending with a punch of bitterness. another fine beer from arcadia! jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2007 From a 22 oz. bomber bottle with a blurb along the left side of label, an unnotched bottling/freshness date along the right, sampled at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.
Poured a top cloudy, orangey amber with a small foamy slightly off-white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing. minimal amount of laced sticking.
Had a floral and citric nose, a light amount of earthy mustiness as well, with a sweet grainy maltiness, the malty sweetiness add a candied citrus nature to the aroma.
Good carbonation and a crisp, dry, a little thin malty, but smooth light bodied mouthfeel.
A pleasant tasting DIPA, sappy and citric with a rind bitterness emerging at the end, some oiliness as well, the malts add a sugariness to the hops, giving a candied fruit flavor to the citric hops, the alcohol is barely noticeable and only shows up in the aftertaste, providing a warming presence in the back of the palate, and a dry hoppy, grainy malty finish.
Not a bad DIPA from Arcadia, I have to admit, since Arcadia does such a great job with English style ales, I was expecting this to have a more Fuggles flavor, but still, easy, if not dangerous, drinkability.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 24, 2007 22oz bottle-purchased at Whole Foods in Brentwood, MO. pours dark orange with a fluffy whispy off-white head and good lacing to start. aroma of buttered hops-some english malt/diacytl/yeast here definately with american hops to add to the mix. Really tastes like a brittish IPA in the malt and yeast profile. the american hops all over this thing though somewhat like the C3 from free state. The little diacytl here actually works to the beers advantage. nice earthy and piney hops mix well with the dusty malt and yeast profile. I didnt think i would like this brew, but i actually do. pretty good brittish IIPA here!
