Mar 22, 2007 Draft @ Capone’s. Pours a nice amber color, with a smallish wite head. Aroma is big on citrus with some nice pine. Flavor is also heavy on the citrus, with a little pine and a good dose of malt. Very well balanced. Slightly bitter, but not overly so. Very smooth finish - the hops seem to stick to your tongue!

Mar 21, 2007 Draft, pours a murky brownish color that is not very nice looking. Aromas of hops and malt, doesn’t seem very DIPA, seems more single IPA. Nice mouthfeel and an ok finish. Ok beer, was expecting more.

Mar 17, 2007 On draft at Capones. Pours amber with a decent sized white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and hops. The flavor is pine, bitter, smooth, citrus. Good brew.

Mar 10, 2007 22-oz. bottle received via trade with tjthresh. Pours dark amber-tawny with an average creamy off-white head, mostly lasting, good lacing. Aroma is averge malt (caramel), heavy hops (perfume, flowers, spruce), average yeast (sweat, dough) with notes of pear and apple. Medium bodied, average carbonation, alcoholic texture and a bitter finish. Average durtation, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness; some soapiness.

Mar 8, 2007 Thanks to lamas for the bomber. Poured hazy orange with fluffy off-white head. Nose is sweet and fruity with a touch of pine. Surprisingly malty with bitter citrus finish. Very sweet. Mediocre.

Mar 6, 2007 Bomber. Poured an orange auburn, large white, creamy head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, caramel and some pine. Aroma also had a hint of sweetness. Medium bodied, lacking the oily texture that I enjoy in an IPA. Fairly dry finish. Long lingering finish. Pretty strong citrus hops and grass flavor, gives way to a caramel malt sweetness. Lacks the flavor and complexity of some of the better DIPA’s, but still enjoyable.

Mar 4, 2007 Bomber, pours a clear golden amber with a finger thick tan head that turns splotchy; some lacing. Aroma of fresh pine, citrus and a bit of caramel. Taste has the bitter hops bite, but not as complex or well rounded as other IIPA’s. A decent hoppy IIPA, but many others out there are better.
