GranvilleTim (466), Granville, Illinois, USA May 29, 2009 Pour is a copper hue with a off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma with some sweetness to it- maybe the malt. Taste is swwet and citrus hopp flavor. An ok mouthfeel, expected more from a double IPA. Some lacing on the glass. shawnm213 (884), South Bend, Indiana, USA May 23, 2009 on tap. This beer poured copper. Arcadia continues to underwealm me. their beers all seem interesting and unique, but not necessarily in a good way. Soonah (900), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA May 16, 2009 The pour was a slightly hazy copper color with a white head and average lacing. The aroma was grassy hops and light citrus. The flavor was light citrus and grassy, earthy hops against plenty of malt. Very average light to medium bodied mouthfeel with a finish that isn’t as crisp as I like. Just OK. wxman (582), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA May 9, 2009 Pours a hazy orange/amber with a full off-white head. Aroma is sweet roasted malt, honey and hop flowers. Big rich malt caramel sweetness with an assertive yet subdued hop citrus bitterness that is well balanced with the sweetness. This is really good, neither cloying nor too bitter. Just right, as Goldilocks would say. Alcohol not too evident; maybe a little warmth after the swallow. Taverner (827), San Ramon, California, USA May 6, 2009 Aroma is malty. Pours cloudy copper with beige head. Sweet, and yet finishes dry - Some residual hoppiness there - I can tell there was some serious floral action going on in the past. I would love to try this one fresh. After a few sips it has become a malt bomb. Bullit (1300), Glasgow, Scotland May 4, 2009 Tap @ brewpub. Dark copper colour, small white head. Aroma of pine hops and caramel malts. Flavour of flowery hops. Bitter finish. shanepardue (107), Raytown, Missouri, USA May 1, 2009 Updated: Oct 17, 2009Sweet hops making for a somewhat bitter, but sweet IPA. I enjoyed this ale more after the first impression. ::edit - the 2009 batch with it’s less carbonation isn’t as good. Hophead22 (1056), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA Apr 26, 2009 12oz bottle from the Wolf man, thanks Steven. Cloudy dark orange pour with a white head. Very piney, some sweet caramel maltiness as well. Very smooth and easy to drink, hop are very muted, but they are there and do have a lingering effect on the tongue, very good.
