Aroma is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, duskiness. Taste is moderately sweet, pine/grapefruit, orange, caramel. Dry, chewy medium-full body, nicely drinkable. This is a beer that needs to warm up -- both aroma and taste improve substantially as it approaches room temperature. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA

Pours to a beautiful, bright, amber color, with a thick, creamy white head, and a moderate carbonation. Lots of good piney and citrus hop aromas flood the nose. The palate is firm, with good pale and caramel malt flavors, with light esters, and some tangy/piney hop flavor. This beer finishes with good pale and sweeet malt up front, then ends with some nice piney/cirtus hop bitterness that lingers. A good example of IPA. With the number of big, over the top double and Imperial IPA’s out there, Hopmouth seems mild. It really is just a good AIPA, and the 8% abv is hidden well, making it a very drinkable beer for its strength. I enjoyed this one. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Even though this is my favorite style, I have been playing the field lately. I am married to DIPA’s and the rest of the beers are mistresses. After coming back to the wife after countless trists, I see why I married her. Man is this a hoppy beer. Had the aroma been better it would have been well into the fours. The pour is a beautiful orange with a 2 finger head that just won’t quit hangin’ on. This may sound odd, but the aroma was ginger ale. The taste was all hops with a tad of malt at the end to let you know it’s hanging on. Chalk up another great beer for Arcadia! ford9719 (369), Vilseck, Germany

I’m smellin bananas, intersting for a DIPA. Medium mouthfeel, wiht a good hop flavor. Citrusy taste. Pretty good all around DIPA. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 21, 2007 Very dark reddish amber color. Bathroom aromas for sure. A lot of urinal with a bit of citrus fruit. Tastes of scotch at first, heavy on caramel malt and alcohol. Citrusy sweet, juicy and lively. Bitterness arrives eventually but only after I’ve had a few bites of my salty blackened salmon. Oakes (8080), gone rambling, Vietnam
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 19, 2007 Dark golden-amber colour. Aroma...dude is that dirty diaper? All right, there’s bright fruits in there too but even after letting it breathe ten minutes that shit is still prevalent. By this I cannot abide. But I guess that’s why they call it Hopmouth, as a hint to skip over the whole sniffing the beer thing. Flavour is bitter, with a sweet, refreshing orange character as well, over a backdrop of earthy, chewy malts that are thankfully low on the crystal. Clean, refreshing, balanced but that aroma just ain’t my thing. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Hazy, glowing orange, big white head, rich pine aroma, intensely hoppy the first two sips, then plenty of caramel malt, with a potent citrus and pine finish. Very nice
