Bottle. Pours an orange color with a decent head. Aroma is earthy, pine, and floral hops. Flavor is spruce and pine. Very smooth aftertaste for an IPA. Good mouth feel and easy to drink.

An amber color brew with some off white head. Decent lacing. Light dough / grain aroma. An acidic feel in the mouth, results with a dry-bitter finish. Unlike some of the double IPA’s, Arcadia kept the alcohol level under 10% and thus this big brew is not only excellent, but also very drinkable.

Bottle. Murky amber pour. Small tan head. Aroma is pine and citrus. Very resinous hop notes to this combined with caramel and sweet malts. Taste is citrusy but sweet with light pine, citrus oils, caramel, candied orange and chewy malts. Rather sweeter than the aroma but even more resinous. Body is medium-full with lots of bitterness and oiliness on the palate. Carbonation is medium as well. Finishes with a stronger sweetness than bitterness. More candied orange, caramel, sweet malts, some hints of sponge cake, citrus fruits, hop oils and pine round this out. Delicious!

22oz bottle. Opaque orange-brown color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of mellow, fruity hops with orange and apricot, and a fat malt sweetness. Malty caramel flavor, with light biscuit, and fruity hop flavor. Pretty light on the bitterness, but shows some floral snap in the finish. medium-full body with tight carbonation. Really tame and balanced DIPA. Pleasing aroma, but definitely leaves the hophead wanting.

12oz bottle 2/11/09 (Binny’s Naperville)-Pours a heavy haze orangish/amber body with a small covering for a head. Aroma of malt, hops, pine, and slight alcohol. Taste of the same with a bit of sourness on the back end. Every time I have Arcadia there is some sort of infection or funk. This full bodied brew is not bad but a bit mild for a double. I would like to try a fresh Arcadia.

Average frothy white head with good lacing and average head longevity. Aroma of light doughy malt with moderate resin hops. Initial flavor of mild hops, orange and citrusy followed by a mild smooth slightly sweet malt and finished with a hoppy sappy surprisingly non-bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours an orange amber body with a tan head. Loads of hop resins, pine, and grapefruit. Hints of peach and citrus. Spicy with a nice alcohol warming. Solid beer.

A nice slightly opaque copper-orange hue, with a nice frothy white head that seemed to have nice retention and some lacing. Aroma had big pine notes, resinous indeed and a mild grapefruit note. Flavor was mostly pine like hops, some mellow caramel-like malts balanced it out but slightly. A crisp finish.
