22oz bomber poured out a brilliant clear copper with one inch frothy off white had. Decent lacing was left behind clinging to the glass. The aroma is tangy citrus hops with a pine hop sense just behind. There’s also a sweet malt aroma trying to break through the hoppy veil. The taste is big pine and grapefruit hop bitterness. A malty sweetness seems to be running mildly amuck beneath the bed of hop flavors. As the finish draws closer the pine and grapefruit hop bitterness grows. This is a tasty big hop brew that shows no sign of its ABV. It seems a tad thin for the style. Very tasty though.

Some say that a beer is hop juice like thats some sort of insult. When I say this is hop juice, I mean that in a complimentary way Big hop aroma, big hop flavor, very resiny and piney. Thanks to Springslicker for sharing

22oz. Bottle: Big bitter aroma. Very hoppy scent with notes of pine, evergreen, resin, citrus, tropical fruits, and grapefruit. Also a little caramel malt. Poured dark orange in color with a small tan head that mostly diminished. Excellent lacing. Clear but full of particles. Sparkling. Heavily bitter flavor. Tastes strongly of hops. Notes of pine, resin, grapefruit, and some tropical fruits. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish becomes sweet and malty over time; almost too malty a finish for such a nice bitter beer.

Sampled off the picnic table at Dark Lord Day - next to the Dark Horse Double Crooked Tree, this was a mere APA - not that that’s bad, but there just wasn’t much happening - thin, flat, almost british-tasting hops (which, to me, is a bad thing) - uninspired, but drinkable.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Dark amber colour with lasting, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange peel and black-currant. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange peel and black-currant. Grapefruit and resin in the finish. Solid malt foundation gives it a very good balance. Very nice beer.

Pours nice and hazy deep orange amber with a nice creamy white head which leaves awesome lacing. Has a tart, citric perfumy aroma. Touch of plasticy alcohol, and rubbery?. Seems un-natural somehow. Strange flavor as well. Also has plasticy/rubber notes. There’s some vanilla like sweetness from the malty background. Evident alcohol is present. Hayish, leafy hop bite, grapefruity middle and a long resiny dry finish. There’s something strange about this one. Can’t quite articulate it though.

Bottle: Dark amber, mahogany tint, moderate off-white foamy head, fairly nice lacing.   Odd spiced cake like aroma, slight alcohol and citrus, minor tea and tobacco leaf.   Smooth malty start, background of citrus rind, not overly bitter at all either.   Semi-sweet, finishing with citrus rind and tea leaf.   Fairly tasty, full bodied but average mouthfeel.   ABV is warming, but not very noticeable.   Not a top contender, but I did enjoy this one.   Fairly clean, and easy to drink.   Thanks SuIIy for the bottle!

Hazy dark amber body with a medium creamy tan head. Sweet caramel malty aroma with a floral hop background. Sweet malty caramel and molassas flavor with floral and earthy hops.
