On tap: Sampled at the Oak Cafe tasting and was told this will be released in 22oz bottles around December 5th. Aroma is very citrusy, a nice blend of sweet orange and grapefruit. Dark cloudy amber with an insignificant off-white head. Lots of sweet orange and malt up front. Finishes with a slightly below moderate grapefruit hoppiness and light orange peel. Overall more sweet citrus (almost like orange juice) than citrus hops. A tad more hops wouldn’t hurt, but still very good.

Much better on tap than from the bottle. From the bottle I would knock the rating down .3-.4 points.

Bottle: Dark amber, mahogany tint, moderate off-white foamy head, fairly nice lacing.   Odd spiced cake like aroma, slight alcohol and citrus, minor tea and tobacco leaf.   Smooth malty start, background of citrus rind, not overly bitter at all either.   Semi-sweet, finishing with citrus rind and tea leaf.   Fairly tasty, full bodied but average mouthfeel.   ABV is warming, but not very noticeable.   Not a top contender, but I did enjoy this one.   Fairly clean, and easy to drink.   Thanks SuIIy for the bottle!

Appearance: Pours a semi-hazy amber body with a full, off-white head. Smell: Sweet-smelling toffee and caramel backed by faint scents of tropical fruits. Taste: A basic caramel sweetness races through some checkpoints of soapy, tart grapefruit, and pine on its way to a hot, bitter finish. Eh. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Mild carbonation. Drinkability: Fairly uninteresting, it seems to be a half-hearted attempt at the style.

Thanks Styles. The beer pours to a lightly hazy dark amber body with nice white head. The aroma is squirt soda. Nice grapefruityness. The flavor is caramelly malts and grapefruit sections. Nicely balanced and moderately bitter. This is a pretty good entry level IPA.

On tap at The Knickerbocker. Great fresh grassy hops aroma, pine and grapefruit, apricot and peach. Very fragrant. Nice malt sweetness. Dark amber brown clear with foamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with nice malty character before getting nailed with hops. Fresh grassy hops and fresh apricot. Tons of juicy hop flavor. Medium-high bitter finish and smooth bitter after. Nice balance and great flavor. Nice IPA.

Bomber courtesy of eaglefan538. Floral aroma on the nose. Copper body with creamy white head. Good citrus flavor, sugary sweetener and not as dry as most IIPA’s can be. Smooth on the palate good brew. Thanks Brian

Bottle shared with blankboy, jerc and tupalev at the hotel after the MBG Summer Festival - jerc’s bottle. Hazy dark amber with a good sized off-white head. Aroma is nicely hopped, with those wonderful grapefruit and pineapple notes that I really like. Mouthfeel is soft and creamy, very nice. Flavour is big and well balanced, with the citric, resiny hops backed up nicely by sweet caramel malts. A very well made IIPA, and a great way to cap off a day of drinking fantastic beer!

22oz bottle - Pours deep amber with a short offwhite head that fades pretty quick to a ring but laces the sides of the tulip after that. Aroma is a nice blend of grapefruit, pine and caramel malts. No overpowering hops but a very nice blend. Flavor is again a beautiful blend of caramel and roasted malts and citrus and pine hops. Nice mouthfeel to this one. Not overly carbonated but enough to make it feel soft in the mouth. Medium bodied and the alcohol is completely covered by the full flavor. Nice hoppy finish. Very well crafted..
