Fresh hop aroma of Juicy Fruit gum, stonefruits and rosebuds. Flavor continues the estery hop theme, plus some orange-blossom honey, and light, cleansing citric tartness. Finish has some tannic, tea-like Maris Otter qualities and medium-high bitterness. Novel and interesting hybrid between a DIPA and barley wine. I dig it.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2005 It’s good to see Arcadia is more effectively marketing their unique and underappreciated beers. This 22-oz offering hits the senses immediately with the big piney, earthy hops aroma, including the classic "house" soapy potpourri notes shared by their other hoppy offerings (Anglers and IPA). The body is a deep copper red, topped by a substantial light beige head. Soapy, herbal body with notes of toast and sweet breads, coating the mouth with resiny hops, but not of the huge grapefruit variety. Fuggles, methinks. Bitter finish, with the alcohol notes melding with the bitter hops aftertaste. Not the typical West Coast-style I2PA. That market’s cornered. This is another solid, unique offering from Arcadia, well worth the $5/22 oz bottle price. zach8270 (2131), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is juicy with a lot of citrus and some floral notes. Some caramel as well. Flavor starts with a whole lot of citrus and peppery hop flavors, moving into a smooth and lightly sweet middle with hints of citrus and caramel. Finishes sweet and very flowery with a mild lingering bitterness. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 16, 2006 Amber color out of the bomber with a sweet citrus hop nose and a lasting thin, off white head. It has the hop tastes that you would expect from an IIPA. Orange juice, apple sauce with some bready malts in front. Seems a little thin in the middle, but there is a long, strong grapefruit rind finish. Not as hoppy as some, but a very tastey hop head beer.
