Aroma, Citrus and spice and some sweet malts. Flavor, resinous earthy and citrus hops. Some sweetness to balance. Very drinkable beer, carbonation is nice, the finish is just bitter enough to not leave you dissapointed. I usually don’t like to drink a whole bomber of an 8% beer, but this is going down great. cbkschubert (2002), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

A hoppy aroma with a bit of abv coming through and not much malt. A very good bitter not much malt and slightly warm which I like. Good carbonation and mothfeel. Just a tiny bit thin. Overall a pretty good beer. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA

Smells lightly sweet but definately hop diminated. Palate is smooth and well coated lightly oily. Flavor is a little mild, very smooth and blended. A very light bitter nice balanced carmel malts and grapefruit juice, some flower notes as well. A bit mild for an IIPA, but still good. beerbill (1962), Laurel, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 17, 2008 Growler filled at Village Beverage in Wading River. I will begin by saying this was without question the crappiest growler fill I have ever received. The growler was filled to the base of the neck of the bottle. Unfortunately, I did not notice until I got home, otherwise I would have said something at the store. Needless to say, I will mention it the next time I visit. As for the beer, thankfully, there was no noticeable oxidation, although there was definitely some loss of carbonation. Poured a mostly clear golden amber with a thin yellow/white head despite pouring down the center of the glass. The head lasted through the first two sips and left scant lace. Pleasant aroma of grassy hops and lots of pine. The flavor begins with very weak malt, which is quickly washed over by strong pine and grapefruit. These flavors, however, lack depth or any resinous quality, and taste like hops juice. Finish is bitter, although the bitterness is short lived. Very one dimensional beer. hophead75 (1959), Boonton, New Jersey, USA

Really tastes like a brittish IPA in the malt and yeast profile. the american hops all over this thing though somewhat like the C3 from free state. The little diacytl here actually works to the beers advantage. nice earthy and piney hops mix well with the dusty malt and yeast profile. I didnt think i would like this brew, but i actually do. pretty good brittish IIPA here! scraff (1946), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2006 Hazy dark peach juice colored ale, thin white creamy head. Hopped up nose of candied mango and guava, touches of orange and florals, with soft underlying caramel and toffee notes. Tropical fruit and orange hop bitterness up front with hints of florals and sweet caramel rounding this off nicely. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, drying bitter finish. Good tasting brew, but not a standout...
