| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2006 Bottle. $5.29. Wonderfully sweet hoppy aroma. Not sure if it’s a hop variety(ies) I like, but they are not listed anywhere. Reddish amber body. Avg-sized, creamy off-white head. Beautiful lace. Hop levels are very high and very appropriate for the style. Very good balance. The only negative I can say for the flavor is that it has a little salty/sourness in the finish that is perhaps either the biproduct of an inferior hop variety or diacetyl. It’s a nagging imperfection that prevents full enjoyment of this brew. Peppery hops are plentiful and are integrated nearly perfectly. It may not score all that highly for its style, but just as a beer, it has a lot of positive qualities and is definitely worth your trouble. If I ran across this brew in a brewpub, I would be very pleased with my discovery and would perhaps only come short of raving about it. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Another bottle from Daniel that I have wanted to try for a while. Not sure how old this bottle is, but it was past prime (hopefully). The hops had subsided leaving only the sticky sweet sense of what once was probably a really good double IPA. Looks like creek water, but thank God it smells better. Taste has some hoppiness to it...with a little bit of pine and grass flavor as well. Good beer, not the best, but good enough to drink. Probably much better fresher. shp555 (1683), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2007 22 oz. Bomber at Waldo Pizza in KCMO. Pour is a orange copper with a pretty solid medium head off-white head. Aroma was pine hops and quite a bit of malt as well. Taste is a nice blend of the hops and malt, with really nothing special standing out. A very solidly made DIPA, though not a hop bomb by any stretch of the imagination.
