(on bottle, thanks Yngwie) Dark orange, white head. Well and good balance between hops and malts, perfect match of the two. The taste is a hopattack; citrus, dirt, grass, grapefruit; they all storms the tastebuds. The finish in classi IIPA; metallic and dry.

From a 22 oz. bomber bottle with a blurb along the left side of label, an unnotched bottling/freshness date along the right, sampled at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. Poured a top cloudy, orangey amber with a small foamy slightly off-white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing. minimal amount of laced sticking. Had a floral and citric nose, a light amount of earthy mustiness as well, with a sweet grainy maltiness, the malty sweetiness add a candied citrus nature to the aroma. Good carbonation and a crisp, dry, a little thin malty, but smooth light bodied mouthfeel. A pleasant tasting DIPA, sappy and citric with a rind bitterness emerging at the end, some oiliness as well, the malts add a sugariness to the hops, giving a candied fruit flavor to the citric hops, the alcohol is barely noticeable and only shows up in the aftertaste, providing a warming presence in the back of the palate, and a dry hoppy, grainy malty finish. Not a bad DIPA from Arcadia, I have to admit, since Arcadia does such a great job with English style ales, I was expecting this to have a more Fuggles flavor, but still, easy, if not dangerous, drinkability.

22oz bottle from Liquor Barn, no best-by date - Pours dark ruby with a gushing foamy tan head. Aroma of cherry, sour acids, citrus, and grapefruit. Taste is sour, caramel, citrus hops. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, lightly resinous and soapy with lush carbonation. Infected and not pleasant. Poured at least half down the drain. Check the best by date on these bottles, and if you don’t see one, don’t buy it. I’ve had several infected Arcadia bottles recently.

A mellow brew, plenty of hop bite, but very mellow after it warms, some alcohol, but nothing bad with it, malt is there as well, a nice drinking brew, nothing bad about it, but somewhat subdued after it warms, decent.

Murky copper orange with a thin tan head, slowly fading leaving some lace in its wake. Aroma of alcohol, citrus, pine and sweet malt. Taste of citrus, caramel malt, minor alcohol with a moderate bitter finish. Not overly hoppy, only the alcohol content reminds me this is a DIPA, where are the hops? Bitterness is there, but more of an afterthought than anything. A little too aggressively carbonated for my tastes as well.

Bottle pours a hazy dark orange amber. NIce, lasting creamy off-white head. Lots of thick sturdy lacing. Aroma is modest hoppy, citrusy notes with some sweet carmely malt flavors as well. Flavor is a softly woody malt profile with fairly bitter grassy hop componant. Some soapy tastes as well. A bit light on the palate for a double. The ABVm while a bit high, is not very noticeable. Thanks to Pinkzambia for sharing this one.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange/brown with a thick off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit and caramel malts. Flavor of caramel malt initially and a nice citrusy and grapefruity hop bite. Pretty good beer!
