| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 4, 2008 Stained oak color with zero head. Mainly a pine resin aroma. Taste is fairly fruity from the hops but there is no malt backbone to offset this. The finish is mildly bitter. A below average wxample. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2008 Pours a cloudy burnt orange with a large, pitted, beige head that leaves behind wispy/patchy lace. The nose is a "dusty", solid grapefruit with a light caramel malt note in support. Also present are lighter supporting notes of spruce and mango. Medium-bodied and soft with a moderate hit of hop bitterness at the woody-dry finish. The flavor is of sweet caramel malt followed by grapefruity citrus and moderately resinous hop notes. The finish is fairly bitter, with a lingering "tongue-squeeze" coming after the swallow. The bittering hops on this brew seem to supersede those used for flavor and aroma. It’s a solid and fairly tasty brew; it’s just not a top tier IIPA. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 3, 2007 22 oz bottle via Ogglethorp (thanks!). This one pours a hazy amber with a chunky monstrously large head. Nose is pine and grapefruit. Taste starts out hoppy and ends hoppy. Moves from a sweet orange to a bitter grapefruit and finishes with a resiny pine. High carbonation. WAY HIGH carbonation that almost ruins this beer. Subtract several points...Medium body. Good stuff that would be better if it was not over-carbonated. . 00cobraR (1098), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 1, 2008 I let this one age too long. lost alot of its hoppiness that i love so much in IIPAs. Pours out a nice amber color with a small head. aroma was grassy and hoppy. finish was simply lacking a hop smack. oh well. boboski (1095), Alabama, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Cloudy light orange body. The head is off-white and slowly diminishing. Lacing left in its wake is thick and nicely webbed. Still, this beer looks sickly, the orange color certainly isn’t a pleasant shade. Semi-sweet aroma of sour grapefruit, orange rinds, light malts and a fruitbowl that’s been baking in the back porch sun all afternoon. Flavor is less sweet. Notes of more grapefruit and orange(now fresh tasting) are joined by grassiness, a thinned malt presence, caramel squares and some wood. Medium-light mouthfeel, with a nice balance between acidic hop resin and smooth malts. Finishes moderately dry and of reasonable length. Not bad, not impressive by any stretch though.
