Appearance: Poured a cloudy orange color with a big frothy, long lasting head which left ample lacing throughout the entire glass.
Flavor: Sweet, malty, hoppy and delicious describe this Double IPA.
Palate: Nice mouthfeel for a big beer like this. Hides the alcohol well and has lots of hops in the finish.
Overall: I love this ale and will have to give it many more tries. It’s going to be a Hoppy Christmas in Hurley. New York! gearbike (418), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA

Pour was a swampy amber with a light brown head. Aroma was roasted malt and a bit of dirty hops. Flavor was an uninspiring interplay between weak hops and stinky sweet malts. Mouthfeel was siticky and oily. TeamTrappist (405), jericho, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2008 Tap at the Blind Tiger. Poured a deep amber. This had a very nice and big floral hop nose. Nice hop flavor to it also, but a tad on the mild side, not quite a double to me compared to other double ipa’s, but a label or a mislabel? can’t make this a bad beer. The finish is where this beer really shines, it is firmly bitter. kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA

Thin body with powerful piney hops bitterness and a resiny finish. Could use a bit more malt, tastes too thin. chronictonic (404), Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, USA

medium gold in color - small but rock head. huge aromas of grapefruit - you can almost smell the hops from arms length. flavor is al about the hops - starting of chewy and resiny with lots of tart citrus flavors, developing into a fresh green hop flavor and ending with a punch of bitterness. another fine beer from arcadia! carl4beer (403), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA
