Taste is of slightly sweet roasted malts, some kind of sweet spice, with a mellow hop finish. No as Hoppy as most IPA, but very good palate. tsetlock (66), Livonia, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 25, 2009 An amber color brew with some off white head. Decent lacing. Light dough / grain aroma. An acidic feel in the mouth, results with a dry-bitter finish. Unlike some of the double IPA’s, Arcadia kept the alcohol level under 10% and thus this big brew is not only excellent, but also very drinkable. michael-pollack (2720), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 13, 2007 22oz. Bottle: Big bitter aroma. Very hoppy scent with notes of pine, evergreen, resin, citrus, tropical fruits, and grapefruit. Also a little caramel malt. Poured dark orange in color with a small tan head that mostly diminished. Excellent lacing. Clear but full of particles. Sparkling. Heavily bitter flavor. Tastes strongly of hops. Notes of pine, resin, grapefruit, and some tropical fruits. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish becomes sweet and malty over time; almost too malty a finish for such a nice bitter beer. jsquire (2113), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 16, 2006 Amber color out of the bomber with a sweet citrus hop nose and a lasting thin, off white head. It has the hop tastes that you would expect from an IIPA. Orange juice, apple sauce with some bready malts in front. Seems a little thin in the middle, but there is a long, strong grapefruit rind finish. Not as hoppy as some, but a very tastey hop head beer. hopscotch (5511), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 28, 2006 Bottle... Very hazy orange ale with a large, frothy, off-white head. Excellent retention. Malty, fruity nose with lots of freshly sliced grapefruit, pineapple, peach and dashes of evergreen and black tea. Hefty malt backbone with lots of hop bitterness for good balance. Flavors of grapefruit, toffee and apricot. Full-bodied with an astringent mouthfeel and gentle carbonation. Lengthy, dry, grassy finish. A shout goes out to WBC for shipping me the bottle! beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA

Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange, malt and caramel. Medium bodied Imperial IPA. Malts are caramel, biscuit and orange, Hops are citrus, grapefruit and piney. Touch of alcohol bite. About a medium bitterness IPA. There is a nice residual malt sweetness in this one. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 25, 2006 Dark copper color with a thin head. A massive blast of pine and citrus up front on the nose. These continue into the taste and do not let up at all. The malt base is so-so. It probably has a lot of malt, but the hops really bury it. Thankfully, the hops mix very nicely in this one. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 16, 2007 This is a tasty beer. Abundant flowery hops in the aroma. Gold color and moderate carbonation. Some sweetness in the flavor from malt, but tons of hops, herbal, citrus, and bitter flavors. It left a good hop burn.
