Sep 10, 2008 Draught, 8.1%. Sweet hop aroma, quite grassy. Very cloudy red/brown colour. Stable tan head. The flavour is quite sweet with a lot of grassy aroma hops. Has a little citric hop bite. Mild carbonation, quite appropriate.

Jul 31, 2006 Bottle shared with GregClow, Jerc, and Blankboy after MBG 06 - Jerc’s bottle. Really juicy citrus orange aroma - lovely. Medium orange, good sized frothy white head. Nice hop taste - dry citrus hops! That’s it! Ok, some alcohol too, but nothing overpowering. Decent enough body to back it up - never strays into one-dimensional territory. Nice stuff.

Jan 21, 2006 Small sample at beer tasting at From The Vine in Lewis Center, Ohio. Nearly no head; appearance of scotch; oily. Aroma is very striking: sharp orange presence with vanilla (sort of an orange cream vibe). Flavor is citrusy and grassy with oak; sharply sweet; warming without the alcoholic bite. Full and clean. Truly an IIPA for non-hopheads like me.

Mar 8, 2006 22oz bottle acquired in trade. Poured a deeper copper color with a larged sized off white head. Aromas of pine, citrus, and light caramel in the background. Tastes of pine (not as strong as the aroma), caramel, grapefruit, and oranges. Taste was better balanced than the aroma would have lead me to expect. Alcohol content well hidden. Nice lacing left on the glass.

Apr 19, 2008 Honey colored pour with a good off-white head. Grassy aroma. I wonder whether this ale should be re-named, as it has a wheaty flavor. I liked this, but it’s far from the best IIPA I’ved sampled. Needs a little hop punch.

Sep 29, 2008 12oz - Nice citrus hop aroma with some melon and a caramel finish. Pours transparent copper with a bg head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma but is lacking any hop bite. Palate is sticky and tart. A tasty well balanced IIPA.

Aug 19, 2006 Orange-hued amber in color with a thick, lacing, off-white head that looks nicely creamy. Aroma has some road tar and strong, American hopping of citrus and pine. Flavor has all of the aroma components with a solid, sweet malt backbone, complimentary bitterness, and an enveloping vanilla.

Jul 6, 2006 Pours a hazy orange amber with a medium off white bubbly yet creamy head that left some lacing a dimished yet sustained a small head. Aroma of pine, caramel malt, grapefruit and earthy. Flavor of grapefruit, orange, lots of pine, caramel, nuts, very chewy hop feel.
