Arcadia Hopmouth Double IPA

22oz bottle acquired in trade. Poured a deeper copper color with a larged sized off white head. Aromas of pine, citrus, and light caramel in the background. Tastes of pine (not as strong as the aroma), caramel, grapefruit, and oranges. Taste was better balanced than the aroma would have lead me to expect. Alcohol content well hidden. Nice lacing left on the glass.

Orange-hued amber in color with a thick, lacing, off-white head that looks nicely creamy. Aroma has some road tar and strong, American hopping of citrus and pine. Flavor has all of the aroma components with a solid, sweet malt backbone, complimentary bitterness, and an enveloping vanilla.

22oz bottle-pours a rocky light tan head that laces and copper color. Aroma is resin/citrus hops-some bitter. Taste is resin/citrus/earthy/citrus hops-some bitter, some caramel-medium malt backbone. Taste not quite up to aroma but does have the slightly slick, with the hops, mouth feel that fits an I2PA. OK/mild carbonation.

Bottle (650ml). Hazy orange with a solid foamy creamy lasting off-white head. Very hoppy aroma of bitter citrus pith, quite dry and wheat/grainy, soft and a little lactic with tangy tropical fruit notes. Taste is sweeter and juicier than I’d imagined, sweet citrus juice malt initially, then the bitter pith hops begin to build to a longish bitter but not overwhelming finish. Decent body, quite astringent, bordering on acidic, but well balanced - very good, not quite great, but I would drink this again any day.

Pours a dark amber with medium, off-whte head that fades to a lasting cover, some lacing. Big hop aroma, citrus and pine, lots of caramel and fruits underneath. The flavor is moderately sweet, caramel, apricots and lots of pine. Smooth and soft mouthfeel, finish is medium length, slightly bitter.

Bottle: Dark copper in color, with a small, but long lasting white head. Aroma, Citrus and spice and some sweet malts. Flavor, resinous earthy and citrus hops. Some sweetness to balance. Very drinkable beer, carbonation is nice, the finish is just bitter enough to not leave you dissapointed. I usually don’t like to drink a whole bomber of an 8% beer, but this is going down great.

Strong piney aroma greets the nose. Cloudy amber color. Good lacing. Moderate bitterness in flavor, which is expected for the style. Doesn’t quite match up to most for it’s style. The bitterness really hangs on in the finish. Somethings just a little off on this beer. Can’t quite put my finger on it. Very good, just not great.

Nice dark copper color with a frothing white head. Aroma of hops, with some floral hints. Taste is well-balanced between hops anc citrus with a hint of alcohol. Very nice beer!
