| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 8, 2006 Appears a hazy, dense amber with a small 1 finger, off-white head that slowly fades into a small cap. Scattered amounts of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of biscuit, light caramel, honey, brown sugar, citrusy, pine, and some of those orange slice candies.
Taste is of the same aromas with a sweet, sugary, orange flavor.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, sweet, slick, semi-dry, mildly bitter, along with orange peel and a balanced amount of citrusy that teeters on sugary and bitter. BuckeyeBoy (1672), Boise, Idaho, USA

Fruity, hoppy nose with orange peel and black-currant. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange peel and black-currant. Grapefruit and resin in the finish. Solid malt foundation gives it a very good balance. Very nice beer. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 3, 2006 Pours a hazy brownish copper with an ample dense offwhite head--very appealing. The nose is also quite appealing. Big floral to citrusy hops with a nice underlying well rounded sweetness. Juicy. The mouthfeel is a bit creamy, but not quite as viscous and thick as I’d expect out of an IIPA. The flavor is much more subdued than the aroma would indicate. Caramel sort of malts are overshadowed but a floral to piney hop presence. The bitterness strikes early in a pleasant way and stays on throughout the aftertaste in a more or less even way. Definitely a biting mouthabrading bitterness, though not the sort of bitterness that blows one away. I think I like this one more with each sip. Really hides the alcohol well, and I remember this as being a relatively cheap bomber. I can imagine this being a bit better fresher if this really is a winter brew. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2007 22oz bomber poured out a brilliant clear copper with one inch frothy off white had. Decent lacing was left behind clinging to the glass. The aroma is tangy citrus hops with a pine hop sense just behind. There’s also a sweet malt aroma trying to break through the hoppy veil. The taste is big pine and grapefruit hop bitterness. A malty sweetness seems to be running mildly amuck beneath the bed of hop flavors. As the finish draws closer the pine and grapefruit hop bitterness grows. This is a tasty big hop brew that shows no sign of its ABV. It seems a tad thin for the style. Very tasty though. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2006 The Hopmouth pours a murky amber color with a great head that has good retention and leaves plenty of lacing on the glass. The aroma gets you plenty of the classic pine aroma as well as some caramel malt in the back. The taste hits you with plenty of very strong hop bitterness right at first. It also has a sort of tanginess on the tongue as well. A decent malt backbone balances it out in the finish. This is refreshing, but not light by any means. A very good IPA. Flavor is pine, citrus, caramel malt. Malt backbone is present, but doesn’t really balance the intense hops. Long, bitter finish. This is really very good. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 4, 2006 22 oz bomber. Pretty hazy amber color. Heavy notes of citrus on the nose; especially grapefruit. Slightly musty as it warms. Very creamy on the palate. Floral, dry, notes of orange rind. Only mildy hoppy initially. All leads to a fairly hoppy finish. It gets longer as the beer warms.
