Hopped up nose of candied mango and guava, touches of orange and florals, with soft underlying caramel and toffee notes. Tropical fruit and orange hop bitterness up front with hints of florals and sweet caramel rounding this off nicely. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, drying bitter finish. Good tasting brew, but not a standout... MartinT (5055), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

-A ring of foam surrounds the veiled orange gown.
-A beauteous perfume of citrus, oranges, and flower petals seduces the nostrils.
-Muscular herbal, floral hoppiness expands into orangey fruitiness, a large flavor spectrum on the hoppy side.
-The lean mouthfeel is softly carbonated, and ends up easily drinkable for its size.
What if you dig deeper?
-The leafy, fresh hop bitterness grabs the tongue, and charms it.
-There is barely enough malty sweetness to balance, but somehow it is enough to provide a solid body on which the hops thrive.
-A fun hop fest for sure, and a quality offering from Arcadia.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 24, 2007 A good solid beer. Nose of malts and floral hops. Wonderful crystal clear dark amber to copper body, small off white head that vanishes too quickly. Average to thin, dry and nutty mouth feel. Solid sweet malts, classic British hops, but then a surprising American pine and orange hoppy bitter finish. A good beer, and the combination of hops is interesting. Softer aroma of hops than expected. Nice flavor lighter than expected for a dipa well balanced overall. Well done dipa but a little lighter compared to others vyvvy (2059), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2006 Updated: May 8, 2007Pours rich amber / bronze with a nice tan head. The aroma has a good deal of floral and earthy hops with some musty caramel backbone. There are light traces of a mellow citrus character as well. Medium to full bodied beer with some soft carbonation. Taste starts with an off putting old dirty caramel malt. There is a nice floral / spicy hop aspect, but that doesn’t save it from the malt taste as well as some astringency being present. The finish is mainly the spicy and caramel aspects. This is okay, but not what an IIPA should be. (7/3/6/3/14 - 3.3)
Rerate notes - The aroma and appearance are about the same with this fresh bottle. The taste is significantly better ~ a lot for of an earthy malt and hop taste. The finish is like a jacked-up version of a British style IPA. While I prefer the West Coast style this is a respectable IIPA. CaptainCougar (5494), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2006 Clear copper orange pour has a thin wispy white head. Sweet toasty sugary caramel malty aroma well-balanced with lots of piney spruce hops. Body starts sweet and malty with some earthy caramel notes and floral tasting hops with a slightly warming and lightly bittersweet finish. A decent IIPA.
