Feb 6, 2007 Pours a hazy orangey amber color with a thin offwhite head. Good aroma of resinous, citrusy hops and malt. Good flavor of resinous, citrusy hops with malt, alcohol and a bitter finish. The body is light with a creamy texture and gentle carbonation. This is a pleasant, well-balance double IPA.

Apr 3, 2008 22 oz. bottle via trade with Linus_Stick - Pours a hazy amber color with a large two finger thick off white head that lasts. Thick layered lacing. Aroma is citrus and herbal hops and light toasted malt. Flavor is mostly hops but not overly bitter. Has a lingering astringent aftertaste. Medium to full body. A pretty good beer. Thanks Alan.

Jul 25, 2006 Clear reddish amber pour under a tall rocky off-white head. Very fragrant brew with pine resin and grapefruits bubbling out of the settling head. Citrusy and hoppy flavor but not as well balanced as other impy IPAs. Rich and smooth mouthfeel and a sinister (in a good way) bitter finish with some alcohol sneeking out every half sip or so.

Jun 6, 2007 Poured a cloudy amber with a large fizzy/fluffy white head. Aroma is light for a double IPA, some grapefruit, light pineapple, some cinnamon spiciness, a bit of orange. Flavor is bitter with some earthy grassiness, a slight touch of orange, finishing with some sticky dry toffee. Body is somewhat soft. Overall bitter but subdued, with slightly underwhelming hop complexity. Surprising to find this was reforumlated from Batch #999, as I found that distinctly hoppier.

Jan 25, 2006 this was some what of an unusual IIPA...pours dark amber with little head....aroma is unique, and is of cream and floral hops....some earth tones as well...flavor is very similar, but hops seem more citrus-like...definite hints of cream and somewhat soapy....nice palate, and an interesting IIPA

Feb 23, 2006 Big Pacific Northwest hop aroma. Nice IPA orange pour...releasing even more pine and grapefruit scents. Nice caramel/toffee base...not enough to support the title of Imperial IPA, though. And the big bitter highlights, while enjoyable, are also more suited to a normal American IPA, I think. The IBU’s clock in at around 76 or so. But very well done, and I’d drink these all day long if given the chance.

Dec 30, 2005 The aroma on this is WOW! Pours a dark marroon color with a short lived head. Orange rind and grapefruit with a piney texture are prevelent in the aroma. Taste is great too with the rind like quality mixing with the smack you in your face hops. A soft carbonated medium bodied palate that is abrubt. I really liked this brew but I don’t know It felt like it was missing something
