Smell of light hops, flowers, caramel, ginger, pepper, citrus, candy rasins, pine and malt. Taste of hops, pine, grass, malt, orange peal, clove, pepper, ginger ale, alcohol, caramel and cotton candy. A minor harsh aftertaste. Very interesting double IPA. A lot of spice going on in this one. nhorween (640), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 11, 2007 Draft. Hazy orange-honey color pour with a white head. Good lacing. This was served to me as a pint for $5... This is a decent IIPA, but there isn’t anything remarkable here. Just a standard East Coast style version. There is something, that I can’t quite put my finger on, that could make this beer better. Maybe it’s a bit more sweetness to coat the inside of the mouth to precede that hop bite. Still, not too shabby. undsioux7 (560), Cologne, Minnesota, USA
