May 24, 2008 Deep red-orange, cloudy, with a huge off-white head. Light, sweet nose, with touches of vanilla and walnuts. Flavor is fairly sweet, a bit astringent, quite bitter, with some touches of tobacco, almonds and walnuts.

Aug 18, 2007 Poured a dark golden color with a large off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, floral hops, grass clippings, and some caramel malts. Taste of caramel malts up front, pine, citrus fruits, tobacco, and a touch of alcohol to round it all out.

Jul 24, 2006 Following Michigan Brewers Festival 2006. Bottle. Orange amber body with a creamy beige head. Resiny mild aroma with sweet orange presence. Very sweet citrusy orange hops. Flavour becomes more resiny and bitter as the glass goes on. Deep rooted sweet malt has only brief moments of prominence but manages to keep a good semblance of balance throughout. Medium palate is perfect for this beer. Quite nice! 7-8/4/7-8/4/16

May 20, 2006 Its just incredible the amount of quality great IPA’s being produced in the midwest. Add this one to the list. Big floral citrus,piney hop aroma,taste is sweet tangy juicy malt,lots of scrumptous bitterness in the finish,medium body ,plenty of carbonation,some backing alcohol.wonderful, who needs the west or east coast

Big bready malt aroma with flowery hop s that put out mango, pine and grapefruit notes.
Nicely balanced, oily, creamy and soft yet full bodied.

Mar 16, 2008 Pours hazy amber into a snifter. Off-white pancake head leaves sheet lacing as it slowly recedes. Mild citrus and resin aromas. Crisp, well-balanced caramel and pine. Sharp finish. More like an American strong. I like the lack of sugar.
