Bottle shared with blankboy, jerc and tupalev at the hotel after the MBG Summer Festival - jerc’s bottle. Hazy dark amber with a good sized off-white head. Aroma is nicely hopped, with those wonderful grapefruit and pineapple notes that I really like. Mouthfeel is soft and creamy, very nice. Flavour is big and well balanced, with the citric, resiny hops backed up nicely by sweet caramel malts. A very well made IIPA, and a great way to cap off a day of drinking fantastic beer!

Definitely an in your face IPA. Bronze, translucent in color large beige head. Aroma is almost hops, very piney, slightly citrus, moderately grassy with a touch of sweetness. Flavor is sweet and moderately bitter. Hoppy finish. Well made.

Bottle. Slightly hazy orange and copper color. Tall, clinging tan head. Nose is moderately faint, but full of sugary and fruity scents, nice sweet fruit hop notes. Very sweet and fruity up front, full of sugary bubblegum and yeast flavors. Creamy texture, reminds me of Hopsickle actually, like some other west coast DIPAs. Has a moderate level of bitterness. Good stuff, but not exceptional. Crisp, fresh, lively on the tongue, sweet, but lacking the dynamic hop complexity that could take it to another level.

Dark orange-amber beer with a big head that lasts to the end and leaves substantial lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma is huge citrus hops with hints of the maris otter malt in the background. Flavor is citrus (orange) hops with piney notes, but backed by a solid malt backbone and a medium body that stands up well to the hops. Tail is hoppy but still nicely balanced by malt.

Pour is a hazy copper with almost no head. Aroma is a very deep dark citrus hop with some earthyness and malt. Flavor is outstanding. This sucker is all about the hops. Very citrus, grapefruit with a piney after taste. Very clean and fresh. Super tasty and a good sipper.

(Bottle) Pours a lightly cloudy burnt orange body with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma of citrus, breadiness, molasses, and some pine. Flavor of toasted malt, hops, and a hint of fruitness with a bitter, sweet finish.

Pours burnt orange with nice creamy tan head. Nose is very citrusy and light hops. Flavor has mild hop bitterness blended with sweet piney/citrus-like notes. Moderate yet smooth mouthfeel. Finishes with slight drying character. Nice beer.

On tap: Sampled at the Oak Cafe tasting and was told this will be released in 22oz bottles around December 5th. Aroma is very citrusy, a nice blend of sweet orange and grapefruit. Dark cloudy amber with an insignificant off-white head. Lots of sweet orange and malt up front. Finishes with a slightly below moderate grapefruit hoppiness and light orange peel. Overall more sweet citrus (almost like orange juice) than citrus hops. A tad more hops wouldn’t hurt, but still very good.

Much better on tap than from the bottle. From the bottle I would knock the rating down .3-.4 points.
