Terminus (1955), Illinois, USA Apr 24, 2007 22oz bottle-purchased at Whole Foods in Brentwood, MO. pours dark orange with a fluffy whispy off-white head and good lacing to start. aroma of buttered hops-some english malt/diacytl/yeast here definately with american hops to add to the mix. Really tastes like a brittish IPA in the malt and yeast profile. the american hops all over this thing though somewhat like the C3 from free state. The little diacytl here actually works to the beers advantage. nice earthy and piney hops mix well with the dusty malt and yeast profile. I didnt think i would like this brew, but i actually do. pretty good brittish IIPA here!
Bockyhorsey (2032), Mesa, Arizona, USA Oct 8, 2008 Bomber courtesy of eaglefan538. Floral aroma on the nose. Copper body with creamy white head. Good citrus flavor, sugary sweetener and not as dry as most IIPA’s can be. Smooth on the palate good brew. Thanks Brian ucusty (1213), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Oct 5, 2008 Hazy copper pour with a frothy white head. Crystal malts on the nose. Medium bodied with sweet malts up front. Grapefruity/ piney finish, slightly resinous ratman197 (2358), Arvada, Colorado, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bomber poured a lightly hazy copper with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness, earthiness and a hint of pine. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, tropical fruit and some herbal notes with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish.
Too sweet for a DIPA in my never to be humble opinion! Gurst (328), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Oct 2, 2008 Big hop flavor. Grapefruit, orange, lemon, tree sap, and a little bit of pine. It’s got it all. Thick body, almost sticky, but not quite. Surprisingly drinkable for the wallop it packs. oh6gdx (6334), Vaasa, Finland Sep 29, 2008 Draught@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy amber colour, big beige creamy head. Aroma is hops, mild spices, some rather earthy and also mildly alcoholic notes. Flavour is hops, grass, mild wood and very bittery dry. Wellbalanced and nice IIPA.
