Bottle. Pours black as night with a slight copper color head. Very sweet nose. Sweet malt flavor with a salty entry. A medium creamy body. Finishes with a touch of hop bitterness. Slight black currant flavors build part way through. A bit thin at times, perhaps even better aged a little while. Solid IRS!

Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Black color with a frothy dark tan head. Aromas of dark fruits and toasted/burnt malt. Full bodied with frothy/creamy carbonation. Flavors of sweetish dark fruits, chocolate, burnt malt, and maybe coffee. Finish is surprisingly dry and marvelously bitter. Drinks incredibly well.

Dark dark brown with little bit of brown head. nose is sweet with dried fruits and chocolate, also a little booze in there. flavor is dark sweet malts, alcohol, raisins, chocolate and a decent hop bitterness. good imperial

Robust malts and a slight amount of alcohol on the nose. Black color with some drown foam. Creamy and sweet in the beginning. The palate weakens in the finish with the taste becoming bitter. Mild alcohol burn in the end.

12 oz bottle. Pours black with no head. Aroma is very sweet like candied sugar, roasted malts, coffee and a touch of chocolate. Flavor is sweet with roasted malt, expresso and chocolate. A bit watery but does have a creamy texure that saves this beer. Would not buy again due to amount of great stouts out there.

Pour is a thick black with no head. Aroma is super sweet with some light coffee and malts. Flavor is again sweet but light all around. Some coffee and chocolate are present but again everthing is on the light side. The finish is syurpy and bitter. I did not like this one too much.

Deep black in colour with a lingering but thin tan coloured head, light lacing. The aroma is lightly sweet, roasty and burnt malts, coffee, cream with some smoke. The flavour is lightly roasty, moderately sweet, espresso coffee, very malty and burnt. Roasted mouthfeel, medium/large body, medium carbonation. Finishes lingering, sweet and roasty.

This one started off really slow. Its not like it was to cold as this never saw the fridge. The flavours really started to come out near the end. Maybe this just needs time to breath.

Bottle. Big chocolate malt and a very prominent role given to black currants. A bit too sweet! Rum raisin. and subtle roast round out the nose. Pitch pour with a creamy dark brown head. Taste is, again, smothered with black currant and raisin, perhaps just a touch of woody bourbon. Dark, smooth French roast coffee in second place, definitely toned down from espresso, with a brush of citric hops in the back and a good deal of alcohol showing. Lightish, oily body, dry creamy after. Inky. Very light and very smooth (save the excessive warming on the back end), a different kind of imperial stout.
