| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 30, 2004 Bottle. Deep black color. Brownish head fades to ring the edge of the glass. Decent lacing. Burnt and roasted grain aroma. Texture is a little oily, coating the tongue. Roasted grains are sometimes sharp in flavor. Hops towards the finish become more pronounced. A solid Imperial Stout. Aroma is coffee and roasted malt, choclate, and caramel. Flavor is full of everything. The usual Roasted and choclatey flavors come through, along with licorice, roasted almonds, and toffee. palate is thick and coated, very nice brew. Thanks To BBB63 for this one! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 24, 2004 Pours dark black with a big tan head. Aroma of malt, cabernet, and chocoff. Tastes malty, with chocoff and slight fruitiness at mid-palate, and a velvety chocolate emerging at the finish. Very smooth. Not as complex, dense, or balanced as the elite Impy stouts, but I wouldn’t kick this one out of the refrigerator either. Thanks to BBB63 for this one. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 15, 2004 There are only a few Arcadia producs I am wowed by, and this is one. Rich, really thick, beautiful brown lasting head. Aroma is very grain husky. Chocolately, quite a big coffee presence, hoppy, almost a tad winey (lactic souring around the edges), but nothing too much, nothing out of place, holds together when warm, veiled alcohol better than almost any impy I’ve had...wow! Way better than expected, and I am not the site's greatest Imperial Stout lover. I am surprised. Balanced, nuanced, yet strong JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Nice rich aroma; chocolate, and coffee that has some kind of fruity spicyness in it.... maybe a hop variety? Non-rich but very delicious flavor. A bit of burnt molasses, coffee. Good. darkerdabetter (255), Michigan, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 22, 2004 Shheeezzzz,this pour produced a 2" beautiful rich cream-mahogany head that shrunk fast into a dark layer of foam.This beer is dark,aint no light getting thru’ this baby.Rich in aromas of molasses,dark chocolaye and burnt toffee.Tastes like it smells,maybe a little expresso,the Cuban stuff, tossed in there.Stays on the tongue in a very pleasurable way as the flavors hold on .
Thanks to Slikwily for the great brew.
