Commercial Description:
Columbus dry-hops added directly to the open fermenter uniquely characterize our IPA with an intensely robust pure-like floral aroma and resinous hop flavor. A pronounced hop bitterness is balanced by a medium-bodied, lightly caramel and toasted malt character with a nutty finish.

From bottle - thanks imadeadguy : Pours a hazy copper tone color, with a half finger of foathy, sticky head. Sticky lacing gets left around the glass. Nose is kinda odd for an ipa. I get a pretty good amount of fruit, then some malts, and lastly some hints of hops. Taste has a weird spiceyness to it, hardly any hops, and some malt. Not a fan. Medium body with a carbonated mouthfeel. This doesnt even feel like an ipa.

Pours a cloudy burnt orange color with a big, frothy, beige head. Smells of a mixture of hops, caramel malt, and even some sweet spices in there too. The flavor isnt big on the hops, but they are there. I get a good dose of that spiciness along with some citrus fruit as well. Pretty interesting IPA, the hops almost seemed as if they were in the background. Wierd brew.

Bottled. Pours a murky orange brown, with a full off white head. Hops abound in the nose. It has a crisp bite with a touch of citrus. FInishes cleanly with less than the aroma would lead.

Cask@Dek’s American. My first impression of this hoppy ale with a slight malty backbone revealed this to be an decent drinking ale. Its grapefruit and lemon twang really came out in the aroma, but the hops were not overwhelming or as pronounced in the taste. I had three pints of this orange brown ale as my beer group sanctioned the cask night, so I found it to be decent as I was supporting the team, so to speak.

The label is attractive - features a drawing of an old sailing vessel with rigging in the background. The beer is attractive too, and has a big foamy head. The aroma starts out great - spicy, floral, and lemony - but unfortunately some soapy scents begin to come out after a while. This is a fairly gentle IPA, light and mildly bittered, close to a regular pale ale. A little tart and peppy, but not overpowering.

Don’t you IPA lovers love the fact that IPA is almost as ubiquitous as cheap pale yellow american lagers? Almost every brewery has one. HA, HA. smells fruity and hop flowery. Looks somewhat like darker than the ubiquitous pale yellow american lager, but still clear. Yellowish head. Big beer flavor, of course. Strong and bitter, almost DPA territory. Coats the mouth with the flavor of hand soap from the dispenser in the men’s room., but in a good way! Bitter preservative hops flavors. Over the top and well within the style of any IPA or good IIPA.

(Bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/massachusetts/w target=blank>Julio’s Liquors) Soft, bitter and flowery...Pours slightly cloudy goldish amber with one finger of off-white head that recedes to about 1/4" and stays. Aroma of flowers, fruit and bread. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Nice light, weepy rings of lacing. Flavor is quite sweet - flowery and perfumey - with a nice medium bitterness overlaying which gives a nice hit through the finish. Light caramel and bread underneath. A nice IPA which is on the sweeter side.
