| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2007 I was a really big fan of the Hopmouth so I bought one of these in a mixed six pack. I thought that this was a good IPA with limited bite. As far as I can taste though, there are better ways to get your hop fix. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 27, 2007 aroma is almost bret funk, or infection. taste is a little bit like the aforementioned flavors. mostly pine and spice. more of a nutmeg spice. not good. ended up pouring 1/2 of it out. georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 18, 2007 Bottle. Dark amber pour with a frothy long lasting head. Aroma of nutmeg, soap, hops, citrus and lavender. Tastes like it smells except more watered down. blankboy (3214), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2007 Bottle. Pours a hazy, very bubbly, golden-orange with a massive very long lasting foamy off-white head. Aroma of floral hops and spices, quite peppery with some citrus and sweet malt backing it up. Flavour’s quite spicy upfront followed by floral & pine hops, citrus and backed by sweet malt and a somewhat bitter finish. Medium bodied, fizzy mouthfeel. Pretty good, I liked it. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 10, 2007 Bottle Hazy amber pour with big white head, great retention, great lacing. Aroma of floral hops and surprisingly some yeast. Flavor is pretty light, not too bitter, more APA. Aftertaste has a bit more hop profile to it. Decent session, nothing special. Definitely not on my top IPA’s list. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Pours a hazy iced tea with a frothy beige head. The aroma is quite nice: sweet, floral candied hop notes and backed by toasted caramel malts. The mouthfeel and the flavor, however, shot down my expectations after taking in the pleasant aroma. Light to medium-bodied and tongue-wickingly dry. This might pair well with Thai food or something oily and spicy, but by itself, it is WAY too dry for my tastes. The flavor follows the nose with caramel malts and fruity hops concluding in a very dry and unbalanced hopped finish. If it weren’t for the finish, this could be a great beer. I just can’t get past how aggressively it stripped my tongue of all moisture and robbed me of the pleasant, bitter, tongue "squeezing" hoppy aftertaste of a good IPA. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Bottle: Aroma was piney, pleasent, and underwelming. A malt and fruity (peach?) sweetness was present throughout. Pretty standard American IPA, not terrable, not exciting...
