| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 12, 2007 Nice dark orange in color with a whiteish-tan head that grew fast and stayed around for a while. Hops and light citrus nose. The taste isn’t as hoppy as most IPAs, but more of a sweeter malt with an a touch of bubblegum taste. dra19 (89), holland, Michigan, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 10, 2007 Pours orange with lots of head. Sweet and fruity aroma with strong hops. I don’t know why, but I really didn’t like this beer, there are much better IPAs I would rather buy. HopBackDoc (395), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 9, 2007 Pours a burnt orange with thin head, minimal lacing. Floral hop aroma. Flavor was citrus and earthy hops balanced by a malt sweetness. Dry, mild bitterness to the finish. Easy drinking IPA, good session beer. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | May 5, 2007 Poured an effervescent clear amber with a large frothy off-white head. Aroma is surprisingly sweet with caramel, cinnamon, maple syrup, a bit of ruby grapefruit and plum. Flavor is dryer than the aroma, with some earth bitterness, a bit of lemon, maybe some mint. Finishes somewhat toasty and a little dry. Body feels rather thin. Sort of a dark, toasted IPA that is certainly interesting but not quite substantial enough to stand out in its style. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 4, 2007 This review won’t make sense to people outside the Knoxville area, but here goes - So I poured this thing and got a HUGE head. Like, pour half the bottle, to take a leak, come back, and still have to wait for it to subside. Really big. I immediately thought of New Knoxville IPA, which is prone to doing the same thing. So to smelled it and got a yeasty, fruity aroma, also like NK IPA. Then I remembered that NK’s brewer used to work for Arcadia, or was associated with them somehow. Something like that. So, at any rate, I sip it, and get that same yeasty fruitiness mixed with a harsh hop bite. Exactly like NK IPA tastes like, usually. I say "usually", because no two batches of NK IPA taste exactly the same, but I digress. So I figure this must be where NKBC stole.. I mean, Arcadia must be a strong influence on NKBC. just an observation. Frauditor (148), Hagerstown, Maryland, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2007 Bottle. Tulip glass. Pours an orange amber with a nice thick head. Weird stinky aroma that is saved by the citrus and floral notes. Taste is not overly bitter or hoppy and is balanced by a fair amount of sweet malt. Palate is medium to thin but with a brominated vegetable oil coating. Smooth. Somewhere between an Englsih IPA and an AMerican IPA.
