| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 18, 2006 12 oz bottle: A quite floral hop aroma, pine needles, caramel, a roasted malt note, and some peanut scent to this brew. Pours a translucent dark amber with a large sized white head that linger around for a while. Nice hop bitterness, floral, a slight fruit acidity, roasted malts, and a slight bit of caramel. Palate is somewhat sweet on the lips and definitely has some nuttiness to it just as the description says. Overall, It’s a nice IPA, not the cream of the crop but nice. patrick767 (2037), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 26, 2006 draft sampler at the brewery - Pours up clear and copper colored with a nice head. The aroma is fairly mild citrus hops. Medium bodied and focused on the hops, as one expects of an IPA, it’s still pretty well balanced. It’s good, but could probably stand to be punched up a little. Leaft clumps of merange likelacing. Aroma is spicy, peppery and a bit cardboardy. Flavor is a mostly malts. Woody and a bit swet. That brown grocery bag paper note and some fruity hops. Not very bitter except fo the aftertaste which is a bit unpleasant. An IPA that does infact belong in the bottom 30% for its style Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark
