Nose was very floral, with additional notes of orange, earth, toasted caramel and toffee. Flower hop bitterness and hints of citrus up front that receive very light doses of toasty sweet malt in the end. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, dry, bitter finish. OK, but just a tad rough around the edges.... jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 22, 2006 From the tap, served in a restaurant pint glass.
Poured a reddish copper with a foamy off-white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing.
Aromas of floral and citrus hops with a lightly toasted caramel and a little nuttiness.
Good carbonation, not as fizzy as from the bottle, and a crisp, smooth light bodied mouthfeel.
Tastes of a fruity citrus hops and toasted malts with a bit of butteriness, the hops bitterness is soft, but crisp, with the malts, while thin, have a enough flavor to balance the hops, a slight nuttiness in the finish.
I didn’t care much for bottled version of this IPA, but from the tap is it less fizzy and smoother, a decent English-style IPA. Zinister (1206), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2006 Nice copper orange color with frothy head. Citrus and hops. Hops dissipate quickly and leave some strong malt flavors...wish the hops would stick around more. tennisjoel (952), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2006 Bottle. Pours a copper color with a thick creamy vanilla colored head. Scent of citrus, hoppiness. Flavor is more of the same with some bready and pine characteristics. I would have to say this is a decent IPA. It doesn’t overexcite me, but I would drink it again. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2006 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange body with a large frothy white head. Creamy, fruity yeast is evident in the aroma - orange, lemon, sour bread, and cookies are also in abundance. Yeasty palate with astringent bread and not so fresh hop flavour. Has a sort of saison character due to some light spicing. PhillyBeer2112 (2093), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 16, 2006 A nice beer, seemingly capturing components of both british and PNW style IPAs. The malts are chewy, with caramel and butterscotch. The hops are fresh, medium strength with orange rind and grapefruit citrus, and also tending toward a piney resin character. Medium bitter finish. Cloudy copper color, big foaming head. As with their other beers, this one featured an amateurish homebrew feel, from the crooked labels to the "stale extract"-style twang in the finish. On the whole a nicely designed IPA, just not overly well executed. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Btl. Fruity citrus, quite aromatic, sweet nose. Amber orange beer with big excitable white head. Smooth, peachy-citrus. light palate, not much finish although a detectable bitterness while it’s on the tongue. slight metallic. OK. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Aug 7, 2006 Not even a decent IPA by any means, definately deserves to be placed in a lower tier. Pours to an amber color with lots of floaties and a quite excessive head. Strong-floral hop smell (like sticking your nose in a tulip). Unfortunately, the hop taste is also a strange flowery one, and the bitterness is really like a sub-par APA. Poorly balanced, not very well made.
Could this be way past date (no best buy or brewed on date noticable)
