Musty, yeasty, slight metallic, and somewhat earthy. I am not a big fan of it. Mildly hazy copper color with a resilient off-white head. Very very carbonated to start. Reminiscent of Dr. Pepper. There is some caramelly and toasty malts in the middle, before it turns a more floral and lightly bitter hopped. This is straight-forward and the carbonation is way too much. Lacks aroma. Less than stellar IPA. GuilTTy (538), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 23, 2006 Pours light reddish amber supporting a tall off white head (my first bottle practically produced a geyser and massive head which hinted at contamination and a sour flavor confirmed it). Lightly citrusy, hoppy and bready aroma. First few sips were very tasty with grapefruit, pine resin, hops and a nice malt balance but after that, the bitterness was out of balance and the fruity notes disappeared. Slightly thin and very carbonated mouthfeel. Just a fair IPA at best. milewide (620), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 22, 2006 Decent, but not as complex in aroma and flavor as other local IPAs such as Founders Centennial IPA and Bells Two Hearted Ale. TomDecapolis (3209), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2006 Pours a lightly hazy orange amber with a huge head. Almost out of control, even with a slow pour. Aroma of orange, caramel, floral and light pine. Flavor more along the grapefruit and pine side of an IPA flavor with some bitterness and some malt to balance. Very carbonated feel. mvp (74), Harper Woods, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2006 I like the taste. Just a little too hoppy. Even for an IPA. It’s still worth a try. cbkschubert (2017), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 27, 2006 via trade with OhioDad - Pours a deep amber color with a big time head. Light lacing on the way down. Has a light sour, citrus aroma. Has a sweet fruity flavor. Nicely balanced. Just doesn’t have that IPA punch. Worth a try. Thanks Scott. moejuck (1172), Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 23, 2006 The Arcadia brews I have tried to date have been good, so I was a little let down with this one. The pour was a nice golden color with an average head. The aroma was hoppy and citrusy as expected. The flavor was definitely along the lines of a good IPA, but there just wan’t quite enough there for my liking. The mouthfeel is a bit thin as well. Overall, this one is easy to drink and refreshing, but not a top level IPA. " vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 21, 2006 Pours copper with a soapy off-white head. Aroma has musty malts with hefty amounts of caramel. Taste has lots of rich caramel - the mustiness from the aroma is here as well. The finish continues what was on the aroma and initial flavor, but adds some spicy hops into the mix. A good English-style IPA. I’m partial to the American style, but this is good for what it is.
