Commercial Description:
Columbus dry-hops added directly to the open fermenter uniquely characterize our IPA with an intensely robust pure-like floral aroma and resinous hop flavor. A pronounced hop bitterness is balanced by a medium-bodied, lightly caramel and toasted malt character with a nutty finish.

Pours a cloudy orange with an off white head. Aroma is pine and citrus hop. Flavor is lots of citrusy hop and a bit of maltiness.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber, almost brown, with a thin head. Very strong hoppy, citrus and pine aroma. Taste is fairly astringent and follows the aroma, with hops and pine predominant with some citrus as well. Mouth feel is medium and dry. Bitterness is very much there but not overpowering. I need to drink more IPA’s to get a better sense for the style.

It’s OK. Citrus aroma, big fluffy white head. Flavor is very citrus, kind of thin, spritzy body. Maybe better as a pale ale but it really doesn’t stand up as an IPA.

Muddy apricot-orange with lots of floaties and a creamy taupe thin layer of foam that just kinda hangs and leaves some lace in its wake. Aroma is very floral in nature with some pine and citrus sneaking through as well as some sweet malt, but overall kind of lite of the nose. Notice the caramel malt right up front on this one but it’s quickly washed away by the floral hops. A bit of resin, grapefruit and vegetation sneaks through as well. Not overly bitter, but enough to let you know its there. A touch lively on the palate too.

Pours a light amber with a faint white head. Aroma of citrus and sweet malt. Sip is very sweet at the front with some bitterness at the end. Simple but better than its rating suggests.

Bottle. Pours a pale orange with kind of thin white head. Faint hops with caramel and candy sugar in the nose. Flavor is much more malty than I would expect in an IPA, faint hops and caramel with a nutty backbone, some weird bitterness that doesn’t seem due to the hops. Medium carbonation, goes down easy. Overall OK, nothing special.
