| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 16, 2006 Tap. Pours a cloudy light amber with little head. The aroma is citrus and caramel. The flavor is semi-sweet, caramel and grapefruit. Certainly could use more bittering hops. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 15, 2006 Nose is kinda hoppy but this is a letdown as there is more flavor in a glass of Perrier. It has a little bitter hops in it but for an IPA it isn’t up to snuff. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 14, 2006 Poured a very hazy and effervecent orange with a tremendous long lasting rocky head. It was too big to the point of being annoying. Couldn’t fit it in a big Duvel glass or get past the head to the beer. So big I am now worried about infection. Let’s see. Aroma is dry and dusty. Can’t smell hops or malt for that matter. Aroma is mildly tart, like when you throw up in your mouth. Flavor of sweet malt with a quick ending. Caramel. Moderately acidic but no real hop. So infected? Probably something in there. Taste doesn’t really show it but aroma sort of does. dreg2003 (7), East Lansing, Michigan, USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 9, 2006 One of the better aromas from a beer that I have ever experienced. Almost exactly like a grapefruit. I very nice and soothing taste. A very short yet unique lasting taste. The only real downside to this ipa is it’s slight watered down taste. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 6, 2006 Updated: Dec 7, 2006Bottled. A good sharp hop smell at the pour. I get a nice slightly cloudy coppery body (bit of floaty haze) under a good frothy IPA head. Taste is nice toasty barley malts that go well with the fresh dry hops. Sticky sweet on the lips. A nice example that sticks closely to style. Found this at Meier Foods in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Note, 12/2/06: I had a chance to try it on tap at Arcadia now, and as one might suspect, it comes across a bit better when on draft. Check it out if you can. steview (902), Los Angeles, California, USA
