Aroma promises much more than the flavor actually delivers. Tastes like a really bitter grapefruit mixed with some malt. Not high atop my list of pale ale. wildmanzero (12), USA

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a bronze color with a small tan head. The aroma is strong, bitter and grapefruity. The flavor is light malt, a hint of nut and strong sour grapefruit. The flavor fades a bit weakly on the finish. A decent IPA but nothing special. argo0 (6939), Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2005 (12oz bottle) Floatie-filled amber body topped by large beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, floral, orange, light bread. Taste is medium sweet, floral, orange, light caramel. Despite the hops dominating the senses, they really are fairly mild. Medium body, light resin. Cartoonkhaki (1150), Brantford, Ontario, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2005 Golden orange slightly cloudy pour with a small creamy head. Very clingy lacing. It was intensely aromatic with different dimensions of hops...orange blossom and perfumey pine. Yet the flavor was pertty much straight up hops. A bit unbalanced in that sense. Citrusy and a slight sweet peppery flavor. I haven’t met an IPA that I didn’t like though. LiebeBier (793), Annapolis, Maryland, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 28, 2005 I thought perhaps the first bottle I had was defective, but the second and third both had the same flat flavor. This beer has little carbonation to speak of. Its a shame because the aroma is nice. Malty bitter flavor. Cornfield (4952), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 27, 2005 Updated: Jan 6, 2006This IPA gets points taken off for its general flatness. It’s very light-bodied, there’s little carbonation, and the head vanished before I finished the pour. Other than that, it’s got some great piney and flowery hop bitterness in the aroma. The flavor, too, is full of these tastes over some light caramel malts. Great lasting bitter finish. But Arcadia needs to kick this up just a notch to make it a great IPA.
