Commercial Description:
Columbus dry-hops added directly to the open fermenter uniquely characterize our IPA with an intensely robust pure-like floral aroma and resinous hop flavor. A pronounced hop bitterness is balanced by a medium-bodied, lightly caramel and toasted malt character with a nutty finish.

Well, really, I think this is a solid IPA, or at least one I don’t mind drinking. Medium-dark brown with a sizeable, off-white head. Aroma is floral, hoppy, caramel, a little citrus. Flavor is a little lacking, though: Actually surprisingly malty, but not quite as hoppy as one might expect (which I like, really); slightly off aftertaste. Thick and clean. Overall, this is an above-average beer, but it probably isn’t the best example of an IPA.

Bottle: Aroma is very citrus hoppy. Lots of grapefruit and pine. Pours a hazy amber with lots of sediment floating around. Okay white head that lasts a minute or so. Very nice lacing. Malty caramel and lots of citrus in the begining with a big hop finish. Moderate grapefruit aftertaste. A little thinner than most. Very good IPA. More orange/lemon citrus flavor than most IPA’s.

Murky/hazy amber w/ soft ecru head. Fresh pine & circus aroma w/ caramel in the background. Medium, moderately resiny feel. Nicely balanced pine & citrus hop flavour w/ firm malt background & some earthy, spicy notes. Long finish.

Either the rest of the raters have gotten it wrong, or I’m in an especially lenient mood today. The only weakness is the aroma -- not too much of it. Otherwise, a pleasant experence. Lots of lacing from the head, certainly not a high-powered taste, just flavorful. Some pine detected in the nose and body. What a wonderfully soft, smooth finish. Some fruit-like (maybe apple) sweetness in the very back end. Nicely balanced and pleasantly pleasant, without any pretensions to being a Big beer. Which does make it something of a weird example for the advertised style....

Smells hoppy wih a hint of rubber bands, beautiful appearance, deep orange body with a gnarly white lace, very fruity IPA, citrusy and maybe even a little apple, the hops are there but don’t take over, thin finish, Its not a great IPA but I think its extremely underated.

great IPA color, thick white creamy head, smooth taste with pleasant hint of hops at the end, definitely one to try if you like IPA’s

Nice creamy head. Leans towards fruity, and I prefer piney IPAs. Needs more malt to balance.

Dark amber to tan color with a two finger head of super dense creamy looking beige bubbles. Sheets of small bubbled lace. Citric hops aroma with a mild malt background. Things were going well until I tried this one. Actually that is a bit unfair. I should say the appearance and aroma where so good the flavors aspects are a bit of a let down. Dry malt start with quick acidic punch. Light lemon and grapefruit flavors. Lightly woody malt comes back slightly in the finish, but the euphoria is over.
