Commercial Description:
Columbus dry-hops added directly to the open fermenter uniquely characterize our IPA with an intensely robust pure-like floral aroma and resinous hop flavor. A pronounced hop bitterness is balanced by a medium-bodied, lightly caramel and toasted malt character with a nutty finish.

12oz bottle. Pours hazy burnt orange with solid white head. Aroma is floral and resiny hops, grapefruit and pine. Flavor citrusy with caramel malt, pine and heral hops. Mouthfeel is medium. A little light on the hops and bitterness for a IPA. More of a malty pale ale. Decent brew just not what Iam looking for in an IPA.

12oz bottle from sample 12 pack from Ann Arbor Whole Foods on November 27, 2008 Dark, cloudy orange/amber IPA with a great head. Aroma is orange-citrus. Flavor is great, not too hoppy. Piney flavor, perhaps. Easy going down and not too much aftertaste. More of a pale than an IPA.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Sweet malt aroma, hoppy with iced tea. The flavor has bready, almost toasty malt, and herbal hoppy notes. Decent.

12 oz. bottle into a tumbler. 7:15 pm. Purchased from New Grocery and Deli. Fresh citrus, and a mild scent of hops make up the aroma. The citrus seems livelier and more prominent than in other IPA’s, enjoyable. Very small head, dissipates quickly. A bit lighter in color than expected, very attractive amber. A well balanced pale ale. Not too much hops, which is refreshing. Citrus and apples shine through in the taste. Excellent. Smooth palate, very drinkable. Definitely drink again for a session. Not a ton of unique flavors, but great balance. Enjoyable to drink and does leave you with a bit to think about.

Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Slightly hazy copper color with a foamy white head. Aroma of fruity hop over light caramel malt. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is citrus over caramel. Fruity. A little brown ale nuttiness. Finish is more astringent than bitter. Dry. Good drinker.

Amber beer with a thick creamy tan head. Aroma is mainly citrusy and tropical. A bit of light pineapple, mango and grapefruit. It’s quite fresh and juicy. The flavour is softly malty with more of the same fruity hoppiness that finishes a little bit earthy and herbal. Fruity and orangey. It’s quite a nice fruity IPA.

12 oz bottle into pint glass. Clear and somewhat light copper body with a good off-white creamy head (some floaties in the body). The aroma is wierd but nice sweet hops and malt that work otgether to create a light floral aroma that is hard to describe. A bit of yeastiness in the aroma too. Flavor is good but also a bit strange for the style - it doesn’t really taste like an IPA, more like a unique pale ale. Not much hops and only a mild amount of bitterness. It tastes like it has some spices in it (like it might be a pale ale/ spice herb veg hybrid beer). Medium to light bodied on the palate with fine carbonation. Overall: unique, solid, not to style, highly drinkable. PS - after getting to the last half of the bottle... I poured the last half or so into my pint glass and it looked like a dropped a handful of mud into it. There is way to much sediment at the bottom, and it is actually really unappealing (left dark brown speckles on my foamy head). I am docking the overall down from 14 to 12. I know this sediment isn’t supposed to be poured in to the brew technically, but the bottle doesn;t even indicate that it is bottle conditioned. Shame on you Arcadia!

From a bottle. Light amber in color, off white head that leaves ample lacing. Aroma is predominantly hops, with malt underpinning. Full bodied ale that feels good in the mouth. Ample flavor that strikes an excellent balance between grain and hops. Excellent.
