| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2008 Pour is an orange with a large foamy white head. Aroma is very much pine hops with a nice earthyness. Flavor is a nice subtle caramel malt with a nice sized helping of citrus hops. A pretty fine IPA to have around the house. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2008 On cask at the Ginger Man. Pours an amber/orange with a slight head. Aroma is predominantly citrus and grapefruit with some slight piney hops. Flavor is dominated by grapefruit, other citrus hops, and wheat. Nice bitter hops finish. Fairly mellow due to the large citrus presence. Deliciously citrusy and more citrusy than any other IPA I’ve had to date. No carbonation, which made the mouthfeel a little odd, but it was very good. Worth it to seek out, at least on cask. fredandboboflo (1418), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2008 Cask at Ginger Man. Aroma primarily of citrus hops. Flavor brings in caramel malt and maybe some piney hops, but still a primarily citrusy brew. Hop presence and body grew on me throughout the glass. Tasty. michael-pollack (2688), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Jun 18, 2008 12oz. Bottle: Aroma of banana, bubblegum, brett, and sour mix. Gusher. Poured light brown/orange in color with a huge, foamy, off-white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Full of medium and large particles. Flavor is that of an infected bottle. Tastes of funk, brett, and acid. Medium body. Chalky texture. Lively carbonation. Drain pour. Infected. Hudspart (371), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Bottle: Rather middle of the road IPA. Pours somewhat thick with a full head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Flavor the same. Drinkable. carlb (37), East Lansing, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2008 Poured copper brown, with a thick and persistent off-white head that produce a prominent lacing. The hop is very evident. The malt is rather moderate, but provides adequate body and back-drop. The bitter hop notes are very persistent and linger long after sipping. I would like this beer with some rich foods, as the bitter notes would cut the richness nicely. The nose is very resinous. A bit more malt in the nose would be nice. No yeast notes. The body is light to medium. jeremyd365 (109), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2008 Had this a many-o times. It pours thick, cloudy copper with a solid head. The hops waft strongly from this solid Michigan brew. The hops are definitely apparent in the taste and it finishes with a delicious but mild bitterness. It’s a pretty heavy brew but still drinkable. It’s good, but I’ve gotta take my time with this one. BeerBaron617 (306), Novi, Michigan, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2008 I was actually quite disappointed with this beer, so much in fact that i wouldnt even call it an IPA, more like a medium pale ale. after a few, it tasted just fine, but the first bottle was not what i was expecting.
