Commercial Description:
Columbus dry-hops added directly to the open fermenter uniquely characterize our IPA with an intensely robust pure-like floral aroma and resinous hop flavor. A pronounced hop bitterness is balanced by a medium-bodied, lightly caramel and toasted malt character with a nutty finish.

A fine, reliable IPA. It won’t knock your socks off, but it’s quality brew that it’s a great option either on tap or by the bottle.

Draft @ Brewpub: This was not really a memorable IPA. Smelled of citrus rind and pine, so I was expecting hoppiness to follow but it did not. Watery, and sort of weak.

I wonder if the bottle I got contained the wrong beer. This is either a very poor example of an IPA or its really a light belgian ale. With that said, the beer is light straw in color, somewhat cloudy, with a strong ester taste and smell. This could have been a very nice belgian style but its disappointing coming from an IPA bottle. Don’t know what yeast was used but it should have been something more like WLP-001 or some other clean fermenting yeast to get rid of the esters.

12 oz. brown bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a hazy dark orange color, with very little head. Aromas are strictly hops. Flavors are weak, watery malts, weak hops, just plain weak all around. Go back to the drawing board, Arcadia.

On tap at the Maproom. Pours a rich hazy amber with little head. Smell is like band-aids and malt with no real hops in the nose. Taste is thin, gooey, stale malt and again just a lackluster hop profile. This one was pretty much undrinkable as it was served to me. Thin flavor aside from what was already unappealing.

12oz bottle, Pours an amber-orange color. Head fades quickly, minimal lacing. Aroma is indeed piney but not really intense. Watery hop taste, Perhaps balanced to well?? Would have preferred more hop aroma and taste.

In bottle. Foamy, not as hoppy as I’d like, but a pleasant dry finish. Enjoyable.
