That’s a fall spice warmer in the glass. I’m getting actual pumpkin pie on the aftertaste. Nutmeg comes through nice. If you’re a fan of nutmeg, this is for you. Of pumpkin ales, this one is a nice one. tgncc (818), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Pumpkin spice, nutmeg on the nose, not quite sweet. Typical orange color, a little fizzy, white head. Wierd earthy, spicy flavor, nutmeg, allspice. The finish is mainly spices, not much cinnamon or sugar. Medium mouthfeel. Not bad, far from the best. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 24, 2009 Pours out a clear orange with a small white head that quickly settles around the edge of the glass. Spices maintain a presence in the aroma but aren’t overwhelming. The nutmeg really comes out in the flavor and the spices finish it off. One of the better pumpkin ales I’ve had. danielcurtis81 (900), San Diego, California, USA

Served on tap at Arcadia Brewing Company. Appearance is a rich amber hue. Flavors and aromas are heavy with pumking spice, nutmeg and cinnamon predominantly. This is a nice fall beer that doesn’t taste muddle like some. The spices come through clearly and are not over done and they ride on a nice crisp mouth.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Murky amber, thin beige head settling towards a ring, minimal lace. Aroma captures the best elements of pumpkin pie, not just the spices, but the caramelized sugars and earthiness of the pumpkin, too. Great smelling beer. Flavor doesn’t quite live up, abundant cinnamon, cidery amber malts, citrus, the flavors are all there, but not working together. There’s some of that orange juice and toothpaste disharmony going on. Medium body, lively in terms of spices but slightly flat in term of carbonation. awiseman01 (358), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA

Tap at Arcadia, shared taster (hands down best taster offering I’ve ever had...a total of 9-3oz pours for $7.99). Pours clear orange. Pumkin, spices and giner nose with flavors that follow. I little bite on the throat, but pretty good overall. One of the better tasting Halloween seasonal beers I’ve come across. All of the usual spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove) are definitely noticeable, but not overpowering. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Bottle . A clear deep copper color body with a two finger off white foamy head . Aroma is of sweet roasted barley and pumpkin pie , nice amount of cinnamon and other spices with just a hint of baked apple . Flavor is lightly sweet with some nice cinnamon , and nutmeg notes , a little brown bread . A light bitterness and citrus finish from the hops . Medium body , smooth mouthfeel . A good drinker for a style that is not my favorite .
