Poured orange with some sediment at the bottom, medium head. Aroma is in line with many others in the style, light with spices on top of medium malts and light hops. This beer did not have much flavor compared to others, but would probably fair quite well back-to back with some of the more commercially available pumpkin beers. Decent, but not one I’ll get again. smooch (114), Sylvania, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 1, 2008 As pumpkin beers go, this isn’t noteworthy at all. I barely taste any spices and no pumpkin flavor. Good sort of soft and sticky mouthfeel. Tartness on the tail. I can drink it, but I wouldn’t go back for more. porterhouse (1163), Alna, Maine, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2008 (Bottle from McKean and Charles) Pours fairly cloudy orange with two fingers of off-white head. Aroma mostly of spice with some lighter caramel maltiness. Mouthfeel medium hefty and fairly smooth. Patchy, broken lacing. Flavor of spice (nutmeg, cinnamon) overlaying some caramel and vanilla maltiness. Nothing exciting but not bad. CaptainCougar (5532), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Pours a hazy orange amber with a small forth of wispy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet caramel, nutmeg and pumpkin, with some citric tartness. Starts with decent body and sweet maltiness showing some light cinnamon spice before a drier, doughy pumpkin flesh finish with some light fruity tart character. An interesting spiced beer, but could be a little more assertive and balanced. MOboy (446), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 29, 2008 Thin, dissapating head. golden, light amber, honey colour. Pretty enough. Smells of sweet malt and pumpkin pie spices, not so much pumpkin. A good medium-full body. Taste of pumpkin pie spices, no pumpkin and slight hop bitterness. Did I mention the spices? Clove in particular. Overall, it’s a typical pumpkin (pie) beer. Forgettable. GMCC2181 (883), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2008 Bottle orange in color, small head. Aroma was lemon, grass hops. Taste is bitter... I didnt pick up much pumpkin in the taste, maybe a hint of cinnamon. If some one told me this was an IPA, I would belive them. Decent beer... UnsofistaCat (222), Garden City, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Not enough pumpkin for me. Odd tasting yeast for the style, but not necessarily bad. nuplastikk (1252), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Sweet lemon-spice aroma. Thick, murky orange color. The taste was surpisingly light and citrusy for a Pumpkin Ale. The wheat really changes the character of the beer, giving it a real dry crispness. The lack of real pumpkins is a little bit of a disappointment, but it is fresh and balanced enough to enjoy. OK.
