Commercial Description:
Arcadia ESB is an English Extra Special Bitter. Is deep copper in color with ruby undertones. The full-bodied, caramelly, toasted malt character finishes slightly sweet and is balanced by a solid hop bitterness. Tettnang finishing hops provide a complimentary candied hop aroma and flavor.

Lake Superior ESB is like a toned down version of Arcadia IPA. Body is amber, with a thin white head. Aroma is perfumey hops, and flavor is musty, floral hops without any sulfuric element. Not standard for the style.

Hoppy, fruity and gently floral aroma, with hints of tea leaves and toasty malt. Lightly hazy light-medium amber color, fully diminishing head. Flavor is malty and mysteriously woody, slight caramel and toasted bread with generous, spicy, herbal and faintly earthy hop bitterness throughout. Thin, smoothly effervescent and lightly acidic palate. Aftertaste is almost tangy, perhaps just a hint of metal. Quite an elementally-flavored brew here.

Not bad, although not the best ESB. I had a hard time placing the aroma, but I think that was because of the smokers sitting next to me. Pretty balanced with a decent finish. Smooth.

Yes, this is brown with a nice lasting head. The smooth, rich, chewy maltiness is nice and even finishes richly. Not much bitterness detected, but the malts are sweet and tasty. More flavor than many of the RAF British Bitter combined!

Very dark body, more brown than copper. White head that diminshes quickly and little lacing.
Balanced hop/malt aroma.
Nice malty flavor with a subdued hop bite. No sweetness was detected.
Full body that was smooth.

Ugly brown. . . Thick malty caramalized banana aroma. Murky sour bitter flavour that has no real pleasant attributes. There are quite a few better bitters out there than this one, I'd choose any of the those.

Dark amber, almost brown in color. The aroma is a liquid combination of whole grain bread and rubbing alcohol. The flavor is a little better, but not a whole lot more. Grainy malt a little sour grape.

Nice golden brown color. Seemed lacking in body. A little sweetness and lots of bitterness. A decent brew.
