Pours a clear amber with a almost no head whatsoever. The aroma is grassier than I expected and slightly sour; the flavor is sour with peaches and honey rathert than bitter - the only bitterness comes from a metallic aftertaste. Insipid mouthfeel.
Decidedly unimpressive. walleye (882), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Oct 25, 2005 from the bottle. poured a dark copper with a off white head that left a small amount if lacing. aroma hops grapefruit and oranges, caramel malts. flavor not mush going on but did get some toasted malts, and caramel was looking for the hop bitterness but I couldn’t find it in this bottle. but it was a drinkable beer. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 25, 2005 Bottle Pours a a light amber/copper color with a thin head. Aromas reminded me of faint sweet apple cider and light grains. Flavors were slightly woody and fairly sweet with remarkable lack of bitterness and body. Pleasant to drink however but not particularly "S" or "B"

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 22, 2005 Bottle: Pours an unclear copper color. The aroma has some floral and spicy notes. Upon tasting it, you notice that it is quite sweet for an ESB. The flavors are ripe cherries and pitted fruit. It has high carbonation and missing a good, bitter aftertaste. To quote Indiana_Red who also shared this with me, "It is lacking the ’B’ in ESB." Too right. Dough77 (779), Aurora, Illinois, USA

Apparence presque claire et translucide, faible quantité de mousse rapidement diminuante. Malt biscuité et caramel, houblonnage américain aux saveurs de résines et d’écorce d’orange. Finale passablement amère, une touche de sucre résiduel en bouche. Corps d’épaisseur semi mince, faible carbonatation. Servi en fût Chez Ashsley’s, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Juillet 2005.
