I prefer dark beers and this did not disappoint me. It wasn’t so bitter that it tasted bad, it was good, and I will buy it again. JPDIPSO (4908), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA

Very light aromas of pale malt and floral hops, some hints of licorice. Mild caramel and more flowers in the flavor along with a touch of herbage as well. Almost to strong in the herbal department.as they stick to the back of the throat. Glad I’m no allergic to ragweed. Pailhead (2593), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 12, 2004 Clear copper coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, old hops (this bottle is over a year old), caramel and some cardboard. Light-bodied; Strong astringent hops with some floral qualities and little else. A decent maltiness roams long with some hops that finish strong and bitter. Aftertaste is pungent hops and very little else. Overall, a decent beer, not a great bitter, but good enough to get an average score. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased by my mom from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 12-November-2004.
