Commercial Description:
Arcadia ESB is an English Extra Special Bitter. Is deep copper in color with ruby undertones. The full-bodied, caramelly, toasted malt character finishes slightly sweet and is balanced by a solid hop bitterness. Tettnang finishing hops provide a complimentary candied hop aroma and flavor.

Reddish orange, a little cloudy, half inch off white head which is gone after a couple of minutes. Smells of lemon, coriander, and hops. Has quite a bitter hops flavor. This is very nice for an ESB. Quite bitter but not my favorite.

Sampled at the Great Taste of the Midwest. Smells a little like crayon. Clear body, with white head...mostly disappating. Decent lace. Initial mouthfeel decent, but deteriorates as the flavors mature on the tongue.

A reddish amber with a medium non-lasting white head. Aroma of candy apples, Hallerton hops. A sweet malt taste influenced by the English hops. Subtle if flavor. An enticing beer.

Draft. This brew had a small white head with small bubbles that was fully diminishing. There was virtually no lacing with this brew. The body was cloudy, there was no carbonation observed and the hue was amber. It had a light hoppy aroma of citrus and the initial taste of this brew was bitter. The mouthfeel was light. All in all, I really enjoyed this brew. Thanks to bigbadbear63 for highly recommending this one to me!!

Draft at Sheffields in Chicago. Amber hue with a small head, good lacing, medium-bodied. Moderately hoppy (floral and grapefruit) aroma which also hints of light bread and ripe apple. Fruity tasting and well balanced, smooth. Not overly hopped like many American ESB's. Dry and soft mouthfeel. Slighty metallic finish. A good version of the English style which I prefer.
