| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2005 Bottle... Hazy, deep amber ale with a huge, rocky, off-white head. Decent retention. Rich butter and caramel fill the nose intoxicatingly along with lesser notes of citrus fruit and brown sugar. The sweet, malty flavor is all about caramel, although there are traces of American iced tea, dry sherry and clover honey. Medium-bodied and very creamy with soft carbonation. Lengthy, cotton candy finish. There’s no balance here; it’s all about the malt. Being a bit of a malt head, I love it! ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2006 Copper colored body with a modest light beige head. The aroma is predominantly butterscotch with a dusting of herbal bitterness. Medium bodied, some caramel flavoring with a stronger earthy bitterness that lasts into the finish, along with a return of a slightly soured butterscotch. Odd.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 3, 2005 Lightly hazed dark amber color with a taller beige head. Very light aromas of pale malt and floral hops, some hints of licorice. Mild caramel and more flowers in the flavor along with a touch of herbage as well. Almost to strong in the herbal department.as they stick to the back of the throat. Glad I’m no allergic to ragweed. Tmoney99 (4783), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
