| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 16, 2007 12 ounce bottle. Pint glass. Black with a dark tan head. Aroma - sweet and fruity. Flavor was mainly sour apple and dark fruit with some roast malt. I was expecting something a little more sweet, but this one was definitely on the sour side. Unusual. Not quite to my taste.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 16, 2007 (bottle) Pours dark brown with a small off-white head and some brown sediment. Aroma begins with chocolate, but as the beer warms changes to a more fruity (cherry) smell that was somewhat medicinal. Taste is chocolate with a lingering roast finish. Not bad, but I remember it being better. OSLO (826), Perth, Australia
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2007 [Bottle] Pours brown with a small beige head. Somewhat weak aroma of roasted malt and fruit. Taste is sweet up front, then roasted malt--very nice. Long finish. Too thin. I remember this as being better, I’ll definitely have to try it again some time and see if the next one is better. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 16, 2007 Dark brown, hazy. The aroma is coffeeish and fudgey with demerara notes, molasses and a wood hop background. Rich hoppy-roasty flavours with burnt toast accents. Finishes with an intense molasses sweetness. I’m glad I had the chance to revisit this brew. natedoggkc (164), Lenexa, Kansas, USA
